Does you car have a dual action (vacuum for wipers and pump for fuel) pump on it? Quick check is to see if there is a vacuum line from the manifold to the pump and from the pump into the car body. So, now I'm wondering how to deal with that. The only fuel pump available is the single action, as far as I can tell. The only fuel pump available is the single action, as far as I can tell. It is unlikely that your 46 plym has the fuel pump with the vacuum. I do not think that it was that common.
