Plymouthy Adams Posted March 31, 2015 Report Share Posted March 31, 2015 there is a brace that has a formed elongated hole that attaches to the latch and the very bottom at the valance...in the time you are searching for this stock piece you can easily make a bracket to brace this piece solid ... bwylie7 Posted April 7, 2015 Author Report Share Posted April 7, 2015 new question, what to expect when pulling the motor from the car? this car has the HY-Drive transmission. starting out with a motor in the car that was rebuilt 15 years ago and never ran. I found a stuck piston and several stuck valves. got everything loosened up except one valve which I think is bent. pulled the intake/exhaust manifold today and found all the intake runners filled with rust and junk. so im pulling the motor and going to rebuild it. just never messed with this type of tranny.
