1948cruiser
I have a 1948 dodge coupe. Original motor. What size is it or how can i tell? Is it 218 or 230? Also i have 40 psi at oil gauge once going about 60mph but at iddle i have very low psi. Is that normal?

Reg Evans
When you say very low at idle ,do you mean 5psi or 20psi ? 20 could be OK but 5 not so much.
greg g
The service manual says that anything above 0 at idle is OK as long as it comes up with rpms. if its the stock engine it's a 230.
