Nope but thanx for trying, it is not a 1938 Plym engine. Infact it is not a 23.5 inch USA built engine.

This isa late 50s Canadian built engine, 25 inch block 251 engine, with internal by pass water pump.

Bill W. has the info for the odd engine numbers to identify precisely what it is.

I need the info for a friend who may be buying the block, and he wants to know it's Canadian manufacturing history.

All my stuff is packed up getting ready for the trip back to Vancouver.

But from memory it is a truck engine -

P - 1960

6 - 6-cylinder

D1 - ½ ton  (250.6-cid)

Will scrounge around around and see if I can find the books that have the info.

Took some time to pack up - about 35 file boxes of books and files.   Have more in storage in Vancouver.  But at least I'll have everything in one place again.

Thank you Bill, and good luck with your move back home to BC, ever live in Winnipeg?
