It's Done, Put A Fork In It!

Recommended Posts

My 49 B1B frame off restoration is now complete after a three and one-half year process. Everything was rebuilt, replaced or refurbished. I installed Charlie Aker's disc brakes on the front but other than that I tried to keep the truck as close to original as possible although the red paint is not the original "red" color and "DODGE" on the tailgate was painted black rather than the original white. The bed kit came from Horkey's, John Nida provided the interior, used Steele rubber pieces except wing vent rubber was from Robert's, Juliano's lap belts, Kepich exhaust system, and window glass from Street Rod Glass.  I have no association with any of these vendors but I thought some of you may be interested in my sources.  I have done very short drives up my street to make sure all is sorted before taking it out on the streets. Attached are some photos of before and after.
