I think the machine had the safety's disabled. The machine shouldn't have operated with the door open either!

I have a very good friend in Ohio (we first met in 1964) who once owned a business that sold all kinds of business machines. Annually he would hold a business machine shootout. Several of us would load all of our weapons (shotguns, rifels, pistols, cannons, ETC.) and blow the crap out of the culled copiers, typewriters, printers, ETC. I miss all the fun we had doing that. He is putting on a shindig to celebrate his 30th wedding later this month and I will be driving my Pilgrum to the celebration. I might get a chance to once again blow some stuff up.
