So, what is this neat little vehicle called?.............have never seen such a thing.........as not much snow or ice around here.............might have had some over night......,not, lol.........but seeing it was about 95-97 today it hasn't lasted....lol....regards, andyd

That family of small tracked vehicles was know as Muskeg tractors. Muskeg is a commonly found "surface" in arctic environs. Made up of moss, peat, and other decomposing organic material (can be up to several feet thick) it pretty much floats on a sub bed. Kind of like a partialy frozen swamp or bog. The material can hold up to 20 x's it weight in water. Making vehicles that carry their own road with them necessary to get around.
