greg g
These must have been pretty hard whacks, and I'm glad emergency response has improved over the years. Not for the squeemish This one looks like early PA turnpike.
BobT-47P15
Looks like an old Mopar or two in the background of those wrecks.
Young Ed
Interesting that both trans got seperated from the engines.
Normspeed
Those flathead Fords were always too darned fast. I drive a flathead Plymouth for safety.
JIPJOBXX
Boy they had to be going fast to have that happen. I remember seeing a photo of a 55 ford that smashed into an concrete overpass support and that car you could put a straight edge strait up and down right in front of the steering wheel. The car must have been at least 10 foot high and just flat as a pancake. I hope I never get into a wreck with my old Dodge as I know its all steel but with not much give up front.http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/1942dodge/1942%20Dodge/Misc-Plyms-merged.jpg Edited November 19, 2009 by JIPJOBXX

Rodney Bullock
Hey Young Ed, have you fixed your car since the accident? I remember seeing accidents as a young man and saying that those cars just blew apart. I have seen motors and rear ends separate from the cars that's why I stopped going to the drag races. I have been resently and the guy's are alot better with the construction of the hot rods
Young Ed
Rodney its totally back to normal. Drove it 1000 miles around WI this summer plus a bunch of other trips. I had it back on the road 6 weeks after the crash
