Ok it took me a little longer then I thought to get them all uploaded. These are pics from the 4 we hit in the area. We just found a new one to try out in the spring-I cant wait! Oh and all the pics from Windy Hills and Moores are on reg film. I may start scanning them in too.

I haven't been there in years. Used to date a girl whose parents owned a bodyshop in the area. I picked up a 62 Fleetwood, and her dad drug me up there to dig up some chrome bits. They used to have a bunch of older stuff "up on the hill" and they were fair about pricing. That was 8 or 9 years ago. Elmer also has a museum full of car toys, pedal cars, real cars (lots of Mopar muscle) They don't list any of the old cars on their website.

I think it would make a good summer trip to have a bunch of folks hang out there. Winona is just down the road.

Ed, thanks for posting. The pictures are great and it's nice to know there are still junkyards like those around. What a ton of great parts for future restorers doing their projects. I could wander all day in yards like that just looking, taking pictures like you did, and maybe removing the odd part I could use if the owner lets you. Our big autowreckers where I live used to have a section of older cars from the 40's to the 60's with a huge amount of cars. A couple of years ago when scrap steel was really high they made the financial decision to scrap virtually all the old stuff and did so. What a waste!
