Turn signal switch

I'm stuck home for a few weeks recovery from surgery. I'm trying to pass the beginning of recovery by ordering some parts. I need one of those universal turn signal switchs. I would prefer the plain back one that turns my taillights/brakelights into signals and I will be adding some type of antique looking front lights, I think I need the 7 wire?? I checked all of the local parts stores and the only one that can even order it is napa at a very high price. Should I just order on ebay?

I have one of the $20 units from Wirths.

The Wirths are a very nice couple.....met them at a swap meet once.

A lot of other places sell that same unit also.

But---that is not the most durable turn signal, at least from my experience.

A piece inside that has notches and holds the lever in place bent....I fixed

it once, and it has bent again. I think the black or silver units that cost

more are definitely more substantial. Am going to replace mine before

too long.......

The one I got from Napa sure seems to be industrial. I know it was more the $20 but from what I've heard and seen about the others I think its well worth it. Talk to the local napa and see if they will work with you on a deal for one. Sometimes they give discounts for car clubs etc too.

I used to work at my local napa and I know how their pricing system works. It rips off a regular customer. The only people that get fair prices from them are the dealerships because of the volume they buy. You wouldn't believe the layers of pricing they have depending on who the customer is.
