123.gramps Posted October 16, 2008 Report Share Posted October 16, 2008 Anyone out there know where I can find a left/drivers door lock/latch assembly or, can I use one from a left rear door and modify a bit. Had a problem with my 48 CC door that for a long time I let go, you know, had to do a double latch effort to get it opened and then, while out for a drive with my wife, the door has now decided to not open at all. Young Ed Posted October 16, 2008 Report Share Posted October 16, 2008 I have not confirmed this but I suspect the main difference between teh 2dr and 4dr latches are the length of the bar that runs along the door for the inside handle. This is riveted on but you might be able to remove your old one and reattach it. That would atleast let you use a front one from a 4dr. Not sure if a RR door from a 4dr would work or not.
