  1. Today was awesome. Full sun and nice temps. I was gonna fix my floor pan, has a few rust holes I noticed last week. I was also gonna put my new seat covers on till I found this. I knew the bolt on the left front seat mount broke, but I didn't think the whole foot was gone. Also to add insult to injury the rear foot mount was rusted gone on the right mount. Saving Grace...no accidents where the seats would get me as well as the steering wheel. This is one of the downsides of living in Florida, under carpet will hold moisture if it gets wet. I just didn't think it was this bad. No the problem. Finding replacements. Check AB and Flea Bay, no dice. If any one has a clue where I might find these please let me know. Joe Lee
  2. First time posting so greetings all! I'm buying my first classic car (52 wayfarer all original with 39000 original miles) this week (providing it looks as good as the pictures in the ad). Providing everything goes as well as I hope I know I will need to add seatbelts so the kids can go for a ride. Here are my questions: 1. Does anyone have any recommendations on quality aftermarket seat belt kits? 2. Talking with the current owner, the front seat is showing enough wear that the foam is showing. That being said: A. Does anyone know of any aftermarket seat replacement options? If not, B. Any recommendations on seat covers or manufacturers that someone could point me to? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Regards Mat
  3. Looking to get some interior pictures of a D14 sedan, the upholstery is completely shot and I wanted to get an idea of what the original looked like in order to recreate it. This is what I have so far.
  4. Hello .. I am ricardo, I am from Porto - Portugal and I am restoring a dodge D25 special deluxe, 4 door ( year 1946)( I'm new in forum, so sorry for something i do wrong ) At the moment, i'm in the interior of the vehicle and I have doubts about front seat tracks( when I bought the vehicle the interior was burned and don't have the front seat tracks ). Please, someone can help me with front seat tracks ( photos ) for my car? If possible send me the seats ( complete and incomplete seats - Photos ). Best Regards for everybody Ricardo Silva
  5. After pondering on it for a while, I figured I'd take a stab at redoing the seats in my 48. I went to Wally World an found some material that looked similar and would go with my new carpet and bought two kinds, a softer velvety type material with a strong canvas type backing and and a striped pattern that was canvas too. I also bought a couple yards of a soft fleece type material to use for backing on the seat backs and sides. I completely disassembled the seat and took all the springs out of the bottom. I put them back in over a piece of 3/8 plywood and tied them all together with some left over rebar tying wire to stiffen up the bottom seat. I then wired three rods across the top to stiffen it up more. I cut apart all the original material to use as templates and cut out the new material from them. I sewed them up using a cheap $70 machine I got from amazon.com. It did very well. I put it altogether tonight and I think it turned out OK for about $50 in materials and two weeks of my time working in the evenings and on the weekends. Before, thoroughly worn out and saggy as can be... After, sits and looks much better... Sorry about the picture quality. All I had was my crappy phone and it doesn't take the best picture in my dark workroom.
