  1. Snow is finally melting and thoughts are turning on where to go in the P15 this year. As health concerns caused last summer to be a wash, hopping for better conditions this yearyear. And as to make up for last year, two opportunities present this season. And with the addition of an OverDrive unit hopefully trips will be less mechanically stressful for the old coupe. First major jaunt will be to hang out with the folks from The Plymouth Owners Club. Being it is an 8 year the meet in in Michigan just north of DetDetroit. It is scheduled for July 24-28. Its the Grand National so it should be well attended. The next meet of interest is The Walter P Chrysler Club national meet in September in Chattenooga, Tenn sept 4-8. Another possibility is the NationalChrysler Products Club in Hershey, Pa July 21-24 We will also be traveling across the pond with Mark and Tracey Duggan to take part in this years P15 Picnic. Looking forward to making acquaintance with our British cousins and their fine MOPARS. As always, the More the Merrier, so any Northeastern members who care to caravan to any or all we would be more than happy to meet up on the way for a group trip. Its about 6 or 7 hour trip through Canada to the Detroit area. Passports and other ID required for the trans Canada route. If you have any interest in attending any of the Home events please respond here.
  2. The WPC club has posted that the 2018 National Meet will be in Chattanooga, Tn. Sept 4-8, 2018. I have gone to three and participated in two. Tours, activities, and a participant judged show. All Chrysler brand vehicles are welcomed. I think I can scare up about six cars to head down and represent Plymouth. Love to have a big crew. Don't need to be a member to participate. Watch the video http://www.chryslerclub.org/meetinfo.htm Mark your calendar, and tell your friends.
  3. Just returned from our trip to Belfast Maine for the WPC meet. Turn out was a little disappointing our class 46 to 54 had the largest turn out with 12 cars, there were 3 prewar vehicles and the rest were 59 and newer. We had a good trip caravaning with Mark D, Rich W, and Mike M, through the hills and valleys of Mass, NH, and Maine. Did the circle of Acadia National Park on the Auto Loop. Climbed Mt. Cadillac in the park, 3rd gear all the way up, 2nd gear all the way down. Shared the area roads with the NE Classic Car Association, Packards, Cadillacs, Lincolns, and other "true" classics, several Buggatis touring as a group, what looked like the Winnebago Dealers of America Association (32, they were numbered, Identical new Motorhomes traveling en masse) and of course Mopars all out and about on RT 1 and other roads. We logged 1341 miles, without so much as a hiccup. Used 71.6 gallons of gas, 18.7 mpg, and 1 quart of oil. Saw the sea, ate some Lobster, sampled some local brews, all in all an enjoyable week. Signs seen along the way; JUST OIL and more. Home decor and Chocolate, Rustic Furniture and Fudge, and Wild Raspberries. Call to order. (some sort of Rogers Rules of Parliamentary Procedure thing I guess) Will get some pictures up as soon as I unpack my Camera or finish my nap, which ever comes first. here are a few teasers from Mark D's FB Mark, Mike and I ready to saddle up from Lancaster, Mass, the gathering at the rented homestead in Belfast, Near the Penobescott Narrows Bridge on the Way to Acadia Park, and on the Auto loop in Acadia NP.
  4. Tomorrow the journey begins. This morning Lisa and I drove to Cummings, Ga. and inspected the D-24 owned by Billie Austin. The new engine looks ready and the car looks like it just left the dealer showroom. Lisa and I are spending the night in Dawsonville, GA and Lisa will head home in the morning. Strange thing is there is a large group of Lamborghini and other exotic cars driving all over Dawsonville. Google explaind why. http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g34892-d3966847-r153638626-Velocity_Motorsports-Dawsonville_Georgia.html I have never seen that many exotics on the road in one location. Plan is for Billie and I to hit the road around eight in the morning goal first day is North Carolina via the Blue Ridge Parkway. http://www.blueridgeparkway.org/ I will post a report and pictures daily.
