  1. In the daytime I'm Mr. Natural, just as healthy as I can be, but at night I'm a junk food junkie, Lord have pity on me.. ?
  2. I agree with the previous post. I'm not really a fan of the flat 6 but there's no reason to fix what isn't broken. I personally wouldn't go to the trouble ($$$) of dual carbs, exhaust and all that on the flat-motor, either. I won't argue that it looks kinda cool but ??? Just my opinion.
  3. Nice looking car! Anything is theoretically possible given your ability, finances, and/or desire to heavily modify the car. From personal experience installing a big-block Cadillac is a major headache without major butchery. I've pretty much given up on going that route. ? There are kits available from Butch's Cool Stuff for installing small block Mopar and small block Chevy engine/transmission combos. https://butchscoolstuff.com/eng-trans-mounting-kits-4/ Good luck!!
  4. Hopefully you can figure it out. Those are the most aggravating prblems..
  5. Here's one. It's glass but they have an acrylic one listed for less $$. Being a traditionalist I'd go for the glass one. https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/H-1882-I/Safety-Mirrors/Convex-Mirror-36-Glass-Indoor?pricode=WA9152&gadtype=pla&id=H-1882-I&gclid=CjwKCAiA1eKBBhBZEiwAX3gqlyFtF3TrBUjdS7EF8cw0hUCFUsV6jEhMqCtJkwkTmYJYHSzG_KtX-BoCabkQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  6. Looks good but let's get real, that mirror's there so you can make sure you look marvelous at all times, isn't it.. Isn't it??
  7. Stevie was something else entirely.. I saw him in the early '80s at a little college auditorium just before his first album hit big and got an autographed copy of the album. Next time we saw him was at Memphis in May the year he died. Had to fight to be able to even get a glimpse. ? There's a great version of Willy the Wimp from a concert in Norway or Finland or somewhere like that. Easy to find on YouTube.. LOVED Uriah Heep back in the early '70s. Was digging Wishbone Ash, Black Sabbath, the Alice Cooper Killer album, all that stuff back then, too. Good stuff!!
  8. ? Pretty much the same here. I got into blues pretty heavily in the '80's but I can get into some pretty hard rock, too; even metal if the synapses are short-circuited just right. My kid's a drummer and one of his friends who's sadly no longer with us played bass with Roomful of Blues, Fabulous T-Birds, Jimmie Vaughan, etc. and I got a better appreciation for The Meters and New Orleans music because of him. He really liked Louisiana swamp rock. They loved Matilda by Cookie and the Cupcakes. I didn't get into jazz even when I lived in New Orleans back in the '60's. You can see the kid's old buddy playing bass in this video a few years before the kid met him. I gotta admit I never cared much for Kim Wilson's voice but he's great on harp!!
  9. The hootenanny breakdown in the middle of the song always cracked me up, everything's rocking along and suddenly we're barefoot and wearing overalls.. ?
  10. Yeah, I don't much care what he did in his personal life but there was definitely a reason he was the first inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
  11. Hopefully this of interest to at least a few here. I never met Dale and haven't been to the museum at Maggie Valley but I still feel the loss. Motorcycles have been a huge part of my life since I was a child and I admire Dale for his dedication. Thankfully it seems his son Matt shares the love and obsession his father had. https://www.themountaineer.com/obituaries/dale-walksler/article_7be729f6-6af7-11eb-9cfc-7bb6da31e56a.html
  12. My two cents, OD would be preferable to rear gear but if you can live with losing some low end go for the differential swap. I thought about doing something to my P-15 but haven't changed anything. It is what it is.
  13. Several years ago my son was playing in a blues band in St. Louis and the lead guitarist was from Wentzville. He said a lot of people out there didn't like Chuck because of the restaurant thing and he said he wouldn't play a Chuck Berry song. Then one night we were sitting in a club listening to them and what do you know, there's a Chuck Berry lick! If you play rock and roll you play Chuck Berry. "Carol", "Nadine", "You Can't Catch Me", "Too Much Monkey Business", "School Days", "Wee Wee Hours", "Reeling and Rocking", every one a classic. It was one of the best experiences s in my life getting to see him at The Duck Room, the whole crowd shouting "Go, go, go Little Queenie!!" with Chuck ten feet away wailing on his 335.. Nobody was better than Chuck.
  14. I had shingles 15 years ago or so. It wasn't fun. Mine started on my chest just beneath my right shirt collar, wrapped it's way around my neck and shoulder, and into my scalp. Itching, intense pain, nasty looking rash, all that jazz. Post herpetic neuralgia is no joke. Mine was what I imagine it would be like getting stabbed with an icepick. Everything's going good and BAM!! The way shingles was explained to me is that the virus goes dormant in a random nerve bundle and that's why it shows up in different places on different people when it becomes active again. If you're employer insured they should pay for the vaccine, Medicare won't.
  15. Saw Chuck at least a dozen times.. Last time was at his 85th birthday gig at The Pageant in St. Louis. At his worst he was the best.
  16. Sympathies to anyone who's been affected and lost family or friends. Been good here so far. My job is considered essential so I haven't been off work and I don't go much of anywhere else. My wife retired in May because of her employer's lax attitude toward the virus. I considered retiring but my health is good and I'm as careful as possible and the company has taken this seriously from the outset with extra paid leave for sickness and quarantine.
  17. Motoring down from Ventura on 101, 118 to the Golden State at dusk and seeing the city spread out in front of you with "L.A. Woman" blasting.. Sure beats the cold weather that blew in here the last few days..
