  2. I thank you for the advice I called speedway motors and asked about Mustang II kits, they said if I know the front weight they could tell me, I used the earlier post on weight and used 1700 lb they said use 700lb spring, but said I need to test the spring that is in now. Well I'm just going to the hotrod shop in our area and let them fix. You can't push or jump on the front and get more than 1" deflexsion I don't know how too post a pic?
  3. I don't have info on IFS or the supplier (or who redid the car I know it was done in Alabama 2009) I could not see the bottom of springs or any marks,I know I used ESPO 13" springs before and they where good for stock P15. Older Mustangs had soft springs about 350lb originally, as far as steering it's not fast and the return to straight after a turn is not fast either, I'll find a good shop and have them check it out. Other than that the car is 100% looks and shape.
  4. I thank all for info, I just got the car this year it was completed before I bought and they new nothing about the build, The tire's are P215/75 R15. I looked at the spring's and they only have 6 coils and very close together not much more than 9" long, and seemed to be about 1/2 diameter I changed my last 47 P15 spring's and the where a lot thicker. My hard ride is probable bottoming out, I'll let some else change these doesn't look as easy as the one's I did on 47 P15 stock.
  5. Your right, no info no answer, I got the 48 tis way, MII front, 350 chev engine & trans 10 bolt chev rear. power brake's & steering. Hard ride ? feels like I have run free tire's like my corvette, I don't know if they put the right springs for the front weight of the car, and I don't know what the 48 front weight is. Thanks Jim
  6. Anyone have this in there 48 Ply, if so do you have a problem with hard ride ?
  7. Could any one tell me where I might find the front vertical molding for a 1940 Plymouth,it runs down the grill front I'm not sure if an early Plymouth might fit ? Thanks Jim
  8. Thought this ply would interest all, parked at a repair garage up my street, It's like the one my friend made for Annie the movie in NY some time ago. Jim

  13. John thanks for reply, I finally got it all in, I had the window frame and crank assembly out of the driver door, and it was very difficult to reassemble the crank asm. only goes in one way but the spring tention and the way parts have too line up to rebolt was a hassel. I just wanted the thing in cause I am selling the car and wanted every thing to be right.
  14. Has any one replaced the side door glass, and had a problem with the roll up assembly, I have the new glass in the channel, when putting it back in it got stuck and I had loosen the bolt that hold the wind up assemby, well the bolt fell out and the assembly came out, I know how it fits but can't get it back, is there a solution for installing it. The Manual does not sow this inner part assembly.
  15. My 47 P15 took a 763 bulb (car Quest ) used #63 on my bill. It has a larger bass and is the only size I found in my dash. The 55's are small base. I read in an early post that a #81/316 where brighter with a small base.
  16. Born in Swissvale (Pittsburgh) Penn. Now in Toms River, NJ the last 54 years. Got tired of Hills and working in steel Mills.

  18. Only 60 & 67 If I was only that I'd still be able to shoot 80 in golf, I'm 75 and still shoot 90, good luck to all the 60 year olds. Don"t think about age do your best to stay healthy.
  19. I bought a solid car, cleaned the entire car(underside and engine) detailed and replaced all parts the where bad or looked bad,had it repainted. drove it, showed it. Now unfortunately I have too sell. If I was younger I could handle 3 cars and all repairs in the house.
  20. I'm on the second unit from Robert's and I don't think its working right yet, and I know the wire's are good and the gauge was replaced because that was broken in the box I sent to "R ". That a story on an older post by me. good luck.
  21. I had the same with my P15 and had to us a "come along" to pull the brackets into positions, it was no fun, good luck. There where suggestion on this forum to me about this and I believe I got the answer that everyone had this problem because of the brackets steel.
