  1. ok, thanks guys. I will check all this out. I also have the Back to the 50s car show next weekend in St Paul so there may be a vendor there that might have something. Will let you know what I find.
  2. I am referring to the front edge of the door glass where the vertical garnish trim is that when you close the wing it butts up to the metal which is supposed to have sone kind of wisker gasket. Hope that clarifies this. Thanks for any product info you can supply.
  3. Anyone know what to replace the existing gaskets that mount on the metal window edge? I got something from Steel but I dont think its correct as its rubber and that wont work.
  4. So where does it go. Lid or body? And what is the profile shaped like. Saw another older posting but had no definitive answer. Help!
  5. Anybody offer some suggestions to find metal door sill alternatives for my rebuild?
  6. Looking for info on where to get the window whisker weatherstrip and mounting clips and the window channel to fit inside the door as well as mounting clips for that too.
  7. I have a '48 Special Deluxe business coupe that we put a '89 2wd Dakota front clip on. It slides right into the frame. We put a 318 from a '78 Diplomat in and only had to make a small dent in the firewall to accommodate the passenger side valve cover. Good luck with the project, I like the grill on that '41.
  8. I was at Windy Hill about 7 years ago and they had about 3 or 4 back then that were pretty well picked over. Have not been to French Lake. My car came from New Mexico and was in real good shape so I have not needed a whole lot.
  9. So, same as the rocker trim then? You are right, Windy Hill auto parts just a few miles away.
  10. Mine turns on a lightbulb under the dash
  11. I used a 1989 Dakota front clip. It slips right in. Got power steering and disc brakes with it. Put a 318 on it with only a slight dent with a hammer on the firewall to accommodate.
  12. Exterior belt trim. Hawick is on Hwy 23 between Paynesville and New London.
  13. How do you get the door trim removed?
