  3. wooow man thats kool,,,,there is a topic on the hamb, a guy made his own front disc kit, using off the shelf modern parts,,he machined down the hub to fit in side of a 2001 dodge stratus rotor,,,GM caliper,,and made his own bracketry,, one guy mentioned the volare rotors would of gave him more space,,i thought of it reading your posting,,, the topic is called cheap dodge discs nice article with some pics,,maybe this wil help you,,
  4. looking for some thng gray, cloth or leather,,a folding arm rest may be nice.power drivers, and not to wide, i hate the 2 buckets touching look,,i want some space between them,,incase i have to buid a console or some type of arm rest between them,, loking on e =bay 1989 mustang seats look good,, but i dont have any measurements yet,, as for making them high enough,, i have some 80s chrysler mini van front seat pedastals, i grabbed just in case they would work,,the pass side has a pull out drawer,,

TIM,,, yes as a matter of fact,,thats one of the places high on my list to relocate too,,,,people from the charlotte area are as nice usually as mid western people,,where i lived for 22 years,,,got tired of the wind and snow near chicago,,decided to move back to PA to see what i was missing,,,all i found that i was missing was BAD ATTITUDE and the RUDEST and lazyest people ive ever met,,, when you tell N,CAROLIANS you want to move there,,and they find out your comming from the N,E, look out,,if your from N NEW JERSEY, or NEW YORK,,you will get an ear full,,,they say those people move there,, then want to bring all the public parks,side walks and curbs with them,,driving up taxes,,,and property values,,, i wanna go there cause lower taxes,,,nicer people,,,no side walks,,ETC,,, and i need a change,,, one good thing about S,E PA,, great car scene here,,

GRUNDY as far as i know has always allowed more driving liberties then any other collector insurance company,,ive had condon&skelly,,, to much fine print,,and haggerty also,,,and both were higher by more then double of what i pay at grundy,, switching to grundy has made it affordable for me to have 2 cars,, when i first joined grundy,they didnt really want it to be driven to work,,,but any place,,ANY PLACE else was fine,,the others a parade and to a mechanic was about all,,,not even stopping at a diner to eat after the parade,,,if you werent near your car,,they didnt want it out,,, grundy agreed value,,, your regular car insurance company will not pay agreed value they will prorate what they pay you,,, grundy now states allowed to drive it to work once in a while and has now included free towing,and some other goodies as far as traveling insurance,, grundy only asks for proof of a daily driver,,to insure that you classic isnt driven daily,,, and they are insuring new challengers,,and etc as collector cars,, if you should call grundy ask for CHUCK,,, he is second in command and for some reason has the power to quote a better price then the others,,,
  12. andy, thanks yes i know polly performance parts are hard to come by,,,makes it more intresting,,theres a 57 fury 318 polly for sale on another site stock factory dual quad 318 polly 290 horses,,, as for the front shock kit,,,i dont know how a 47 is stock,but the 39,and 40s really have no dampening,,the shock floats up and down with the control arms,,dont know who engineered that deal,,,but making the top of the shock mount to the frame will change it drasticlly,, ill be doing that along with a dropper upright, and a ful size front coil,,,the one in my car is cut so short,it rides like a truck,,, andy any way you could possibily e mail me a pic of your interior ??thanks don fstfish66@aol.com
  13. hey andy thanks,,, kool car, i have a friend in delware with a canadian 40 dodge coupe,,,all plymouth sheet metal as well,,except the grill. i posted a pic of my dodge it is in my pervious post but with a link,, i dont know why it loaded like that and not like ur pics did,,, i have lately thought of using a poly 318,because they are much kooler then an LA motor,, and i just might if repairing my red ram hemi doesnt pan out,,to be cost effective,,any thing i should know if i decide to go the 318 poly direction ? is tha a ply or dodge dash board used in that model ?
  14. thanks for the replys every one,,,long story short,, i bought this car sorta finished,,,was looking for a 37 dodge or ply,,to do a complete mopar street rod,,,this car sotra found me,,god or bad ikm not sure yet,,, the car is a rust free souther car,,all mostly all mopar,,,241 dodge hemi,,,904 cop car tranny,,(low first gear ) B- body 8 3/4,, it has a fat man rack and pinion,,and a master power brake disc brake kit,,GM ROTORS,, that i hope to change to mopar/ford,,,i have not looked to see if there is enough room to redrill the bolt patern,,,from what i under stand the spindles were reworked at master power,,so switchng to mopar/ford rotors may require machineing or finding orignal spindle,,,i have not had the front end apart yet,, its in storage,, it has a few engine problems,but my barracuda is in the garage for some freshening up,,,hopefully the 1940 wil come in the garage in janurary,,and ill fix all the not so good stuff about this not finished properly car,,ALSO the coil springs have been cut way to far to give it the stance,, i want to put in ful size springs or air bags and dropped uprights,so it rides right, thanks i hope to visit this site often DON
