  8. there is a new process ive seen on a finished 39 ply at the pigeon forge rod run,,was amazing, the dash and window garnish looked like a hunk of wood, im sure they must be able to do other finishes,,, i dont know where but its called hydro dip
  9. looks like a job fro evapo rust lol
  10. cant imagine why you need arms 2 inches shorter,,,is a 39 narrower then a 40 ??
  11. ever consider powder coating the window garnish ?
  12. thats a good looking tank,,ide of never thought a repop would look that close to the original, looks like it will fit right in,,, i bought a tank from tanks, well made, aluminum coated steel to fight rust, sending unit was close to the original hole in the trunk,,the biggest problem was there fill tube,,if i remember corrctly there was another topic on this i posted pics of my tank,,,had a power outage took out my computer so cant post pics at the moment,,, tanks fill tube is a bolt on flange and hose, very poor design,if you ask me,,,just a place to leak,,,and the hose they sent was to thick to go in the factory position, so i cut the fill tube off the 1940 tank and welded it to the bolt on flange, then welded the flange to the tank,,,so far so good,,, the plus side of this is there tanks are aluminum coated steel, it fit the original tank straps,,,but is only 15 gallon, i believe the original is 18 gallon,,,

  17. I also see the future in that picture, any one else see it ? he has a phone in his hand,,,my how some things never change lol
  18. we did a rusty hope kit on my friends 40 plymouth, parts list was correct no problems,,,it uses volare or mopar F body rotors 11 inch diameter,,5x4.5 bolt pattern,,some of the other kits use a ford probe rotor ,if i remember correctly the ford probe rotors are only 9 inch diameter,,,better stopping power with an 11 inch rotor, we are not useing a factory wheel on the 40 ply,so the 11 inch volare rotors have no clearance issues,,,if there are clearance issues with a stock 40 wheel the 9 inch rotor should take care of that, ask around, just so you know, no matter who,s kit you use except (ECI this kit has a complete hub and rotor assembly dont now if this kit requires drilling or not.) all other kits require you to drill out the 2 lower mounting holes on the spindle and steering arm, and use the supplied bigger bolts , then you will have to grind those bolts after installed so they do not rub on the rotor, none of this is HARD, but you will need a GOOD drill,GOOD drill bits, and a GOOD tap,,,well worth it in the end,,,we have power disc brakes now on this 40 ply and its like driving a more modern car like the 1970/80s era,,, i think i have pic of my disc brake set up on my 40 dodge if u need to see it
