  1. So what is a fair price for an r10 if it's runnable?
  2. Does your od trans. have the same mountings as a regular 3sp? I am really looking seriously at this now(who knows when I'll find another od localy). Is your block the 49 too? What is a fair price for one if it's usable?
  3. Interesting that you should bring this up. I just came across a od trans. out of a 56(that's all that's known). If I were to get it, what are some of the issues I may face mating it to a 49 p18 block(no hydrive), and installing into my 50 dodge wayfarer business coupe? I am already moving the old trans. mount brace to the non hydrive position, should I hold off on moving it till I decide wether to swap or not, or are the od and non-od 3sp transmissions the same, mounting-wise? Or do I just not have enough info on the od unit to answer anything?
  4. How far is that from portland?
  5. I think either drilling or prying the cap would work best. If you twist it off you will do more damage than prying(like a bottle cap). If you have some old keys you might try just seeing if anything fits, you never know.
  6. I love the old books. I have a 1956 motor services new automotive encyclopedia, goes back to 1931 on all american and british cars. It has a picture of a 54 plymouth with a chrysler turbine(covers that too).
  7. My bus-coupe was(is) basically a parts car. The p18 had 100 miles on rebuilt motor and very complete (drove it onto trailer).
  8. I paid $600 for the p18 and $250 for d33.
  9. I usually get the major dents and kinks out off the car, then mount it, and work it out the rest if the way.
  10. Is there any that can tell me if there is more to it than just the front end parts swap? More specificaly, do you need to alter the hydraulic system in some way(s)? (pressure regulator?, different master cylinder?).
