Hey all. Trying to find some different wheels for my 51 desoto, does anyone know the sizes for the standard 15 inch wheels?? Width, back spacing and centre bore?? I want some larger steels but choice is limited over here in the UK, i have found some 20x6.5's over here cheap for new but they have an et offset of 33mm which is approx 4.5 inch backspace. And a centre bore of 66.1mm (2.6 inches). If these will fit i could get 4 for the price of just 1 Detroit steel wheel!

Sweet Jesus! Looks like a bad casting. I did see a while ago some nos Pistons on eBay (uk) that kept on popping up, not sure if they ever sold so could be worth checking old listings. I'm uk based too so am always looking for spares to keep in stock, I'm in Yorkshire and have got a 51 desoto. HI! :-)

Thanks for the reply. Literally just got back from a successful test drive. Lots of trouble shooting led to the governor, contact inside was really carbon'd up. Cleaned them, adjusted and she's shifting great again :-D Happy days.

I've got a 51 desoto tip toe, was working fine, then started shifting up (2\4) slowly but after being parked up a while it's not shifting up at all. No bad noises and goes into freewheeling mode, just doesn't shift. TIA" However, after reading lots of other info on here I've lowered the idle which made no difference. Then I disconnected the power to the solonoid (removed wires from top and bottom posts, left/front on the block at the air cleaner) and now it's shifting up, really sluggish changing down. What does this mean? What should I do next? TIA
