  1. 11-26: This afternoon we used the B1C to haul our Christmas tree... something I was really looking forward to. The place was packed, and a lot of people were looking at my truck. Kids were pointing at it and smiling. It was a fun time. Although I don't have any postcard pics, here's some fun ones ? Pic 1 and 2: warming up at home.
  2. Looks like I have lost some and kept some. Not much I can do about it at this point. I would hope that one of the moderators or owner of the site would expand how much we could post so we don't run into problems like this. I'm certainly not the only one that has reached the limit.
  3. Were the wheel cylinders NOS or new production? Do you have a link, or was it a random eBay purchase?
  4. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well ??
  5. Bill, that did the trick! I'm back in business now, thank you,!?
  6. Thanksgiving Day: Out for a sunny ride with the kids. Stopped by the lake for a couple of photos. Heater on medium. The last three photos were from last weekend. Stopped by the new KwikTrip, and my two youngest kids playing in the bed of the truck while I worked on it.
  7. I don't have the option of 3MB. I went from 3MB to 1.5 to .8 for some unknown reason. Otherwise I previously had no problems down sizing my pictures to fit.
  8. 11-21: I'm attempting to share photos via an outside link because my picture size keeps dropping drastically to the point where I can't even post a picture on the forums. So let me know if you can get to this link. So my son and daughter liked playing with the soccer ball in the truck bed while I worked on it. I got underneath and tightened up every bed nut and bolt. One nut had worked its way off so I replaced it. All were loose. I also put a shim behind my mirror bracket because even fully adjusted it was too low. Now it's perfect. Later my son and I drove to the new Kwik Trip to get a snack. https://www.amazon.com/photos/share/YMvr66IEJHLtFOZXau9VPigvA08gUEK1RAwPc0FpHLJ
  9. 11-20: After the new straps were installed my son and I went to pick up my daughter from work (first pic), then on to my favorite place...the compost to drop off some leaves, etc.
  10. 11-20: Thanks to Dave72dt I have new hood straps. Someone mentioned 17" for the length. That was a no-go, at least for my truck. 18 1/2 inches was about perfect. I burned the ends of the straps to keep them from fraying, and took a hammer and punch to the cowl bracket on the driver side as it was all bent up. The last picture is the old straps.
  11. Part of our cruise took us down by the lake. Second pic is after our cruise in the garage. Sorry I had to crop the heck out of the photos...the site is only allowing 1.53mg or less instead of 3? Not sure why.
  12. 11-19: B1C needed a new battery. Got that done, then did some alley cruising with my son looking for old cars. Spotted a mid-60s Buick and an early 80s Impala or Caprice. The truck's heater was nice. It was super chilly. I really enjoyed driving the truck, listening to the whine of the transmission, the steady purr of the engine, and feeling the smoothness of every turn. My son mentioned he likes the sound of the transmission. Here we are post-alley getting a snack. ?
  13. Congrats! Gives me hope ?
  14. My gosh how terrible. If you need some supplies, toilet paper or the like, just say so and I'll send it out to you. Hopefully your parcel service can find ways through.
  15. Hey fellas, quick question on the steering box. I was looking at the exploded view in my manual and I don't see a drain hole? There must be one, yes? My gosh I'm bad with blueprints. ? I want to try that corn head grease.
  16. 11-16: Together again. ? With the B1C in the garage now I can take care of a few things. Right now....out for a cruise with my son.
  17. 11-13: Out Xmas shopping with my daughter. I was shocked at the number of people out and about. The American attracted a lot of attention. It sure does stick out among the crowd. Here we are at Target. ?
  18. I can't imagine there would be any issues running those headers and joining them to a single pipe. Sounds like a good idea. If I ever work up another car like I did my Meadowbrook, I'd try that for sure. ?
  19. 11-11: Took the truck out for a short drive before backing it into the garage. Then my son and I made out a list of to do's. It's nice to see the B1C and B1D side by side. No pics tonight, sorry.
  20. Not yet. I'll crawl under there this weekend.
  21. 11-9: Cruising around town with the kids. Heater ON. Quick stop at home to grab a snack ? American running good ?
  22. 11-7: Out for another test cruise with my daughter. We got hungry and stopped at Little Caesars for pizza. The guy gave us a pizza for free! ?
