Sounds to me like you have a tooth missing on the flywheel. If you have the car in gear when you push the car forwards or backwards it rotates the flywheel position past the missing tooth.
Interested with this topic, I'm getting ready to install new brass freeze plugs in my block I just got back from the machine shop. I also plan to use some sort of sealer.
"Cracklin' Rosie" is a bottle of wine. Diamond got the idea for the song from a folk story of an Indian tribe in Northern Canada who had more men than women. He told David Wild at Rolling Stone: "On Saturday nights when they go out, the guys all get their girl; the guys without girls get a bottle of Cracklin' Rosie, that's their girl for the weekend
I did also find remnants of short pieces of wire about 1/2" in length also. The piece pictured was between cylinders 5-6 and the outer wall of the block. I removed it from the rear casting hole.
There's a NOS Sisson choke on E Bay for sale. Don't forget to replace the gasket/ insulator under it.

My thinking is the rear journal acts as more of a guide than anything due to the smaller diameter. The front 3 cam bearings would actually be doing all the support of the cam. Am I thinking correctly.
Can anyone enlighten me as to why the rear camshaft bearing isn't replaceable. Only the front 3 have an actual bearing. Is there any preparation that needs to be done the the very rear camshaft non replaceable bearing journal.
Would it be possible to ever wear out a clutch disc on a car with the fluid coupling. Been thinking about this for awhile and don't see how the disc would ever get any wear.
Thanks in advance, Dave
ECI is who I bought the master cylinder and bracket set up from nad everything went smooth. The disc brake kit was from Scaebird, I had some concern with the grease seals as far a sealing properly but I has not been an issue.
