  1. 3 door hinge pins out / 1 being stubborn / heat ???

I have no experience on these old Mopar hinges but I have restored numerous Muscle car era door hinges using bronze bushing to bring the hinges back to life and they have held up very well. I also believe there is quite a bit of weight in the modern car door once they started adding the crash beam inside the doors along with all the power operated features. You would be surprised on how heavy these later era door are compared to these old Mopars. Have you ever removed a door from a 1974 Grand Prix, if you have you know what I’m talking about. It’s a 2 man job, compared to my 49 Wayfarer Convertible door that I can install by myself.

If you find the hole for the hinge pin is worn excessively you can install a bronze bushing and use a new pin.

  5. Notches in Pan Gasket?

No trimming is required or advised, when the pan is tightened everything slides into place creating a leak free seal. The end pieces float are left long to allow them to slide and fit tightly into the radius of the oil pan as it tightened down. If the end pieces are cut they won’t wedge themselves and seal properly and most likely leak oil.

  9. Notches in Pan Gasket?

If you look at the pan rail gasket on the top in your picture you’ll see an offset. That gasket only fits one way to line up with bolt holes. Whaerever your notch ends up install the other gasket in the same direction

  15. Parts for disc brake conversion

I don’t think by lowering the stance of the vehicle that you going to change the elevation relationship between the master cylinder and calipers unless, you stand the car on end of coarse. Disc brake pads will slightly rub the rotor at all time and some cheaper pads are noisier than others.

  17. Parts for disc brake conversion

Also make sure you have the master cylinder push rod the proper length. If it’s to tight and keeps any pressure on the master cylinder piston it will cause dragging when calipers and fluid starts to heat up.
  18. 218 valve guide removal

You’re best bet is let your machine shop remove and install the new guides. Be aware the intake and exhaust guides get installed in the opposite directions. Guides are all the same just installed differently.
  19. Parts for disc brake conversion

You need to install residual check valves anytime the master cylinder is lower than the wheel cylinders to keep brake fluid from gravity feeding back to the master cylinder. Use 2 lbs valves for disc and 10 lbs valves for drums

  21. Using Engine ID Number to Title Car

My 49 Dodge was registered using the engine number when I bought it, the original engine was still in it which made things simpler. When I registered the car in my name I was able to change registration to the serial number located inside the drivers door jamb. This was in Indiana don’t know what the situation might be in California. See you have no title could pose a few head aches, it I’m would think you could get a reassigned state issued number.
