  1. The 51 Plymouth is similar but different. I’m still leaning towards 52 Meadowbrook. But don’t won’t to sell it as such without being 100 percent sure

  3. No, there’s no numbers stamped anywhere on the assembly
  4. Anyone have a 52 they could compare
  5. I purchased this vent handle assembly for my 49 Wayfarer but it’s not correct. I’m thinking it for a 1952 Meadowbrook from my searching the internet. Can anyone confirm my suspicion, I don’t want to list it until I know what it actually fits.
  6. I’ve bought from his E Bay store, reasonable prices.
  7. Distributor cap is 1 5 3 6 2 4, engine cylinders 1-2-3-4-5-6 with number 1 cylinder in the front closest to radiator and 6 closest to the fire wall
  8. You can make new staples using stainless wire and attach using the existing holes
  9. I sent my cam to Earl Edgerton, I haven’t driven the car yet but I’m satisfied with his service and turnaround time. Also purchased all my rebuild parts from EGGE all top quality
  10. I just went through all this with my Dodge 230. Done a lot of reading here before hand. Rebuild and assembly went fine. Engine is back in the Wayfarer and running. Haven’t had it on the road for a test drive yet due to the weather here in Indiana.
  11. FelPro makes all the engine gaskets and can be purchased at you local auto parts store.
  12. The tube can be removed by taking out the bolt that holds the clamp around the tube. Once removed spray some brake clean or what ever you have handy through the tube.
  13. Rear main seal looks like it’s doing it’s jib. Follow the attached link as to installation of the pan gaskets, don’t cut anything.
  14. These brackets and spacers are off of a 1949 Dodge Wayfarer 230 engine. Not sure if this is what your after.

  15. I’d get another cable from a Duster and reroute it away from the exhaust. You can always go with a Lokar Shifter.
  16. Give these fellas a call. They might be able to help. https://dcmclassics.com/31-Bearings-Races-and-Seals
  17. Its not cable related, the speedometer is on the bench and tested in the same manner as you showing in the picture, still same issues as when installed in car. Therefore proving the problem is in the speedometer itself
  18. Thanks Joe, maybe for 400 bucks I’ll deal with the issues and use the one that bounces between 0-25 mph. LOL
  19. Yes I’ve tried the lubricant still having issues. I actually have the 2 speedometers out and on the bench. One reads almost half of what it should be which I think it’s a magnet that’s lost it magnetism. The other one I have bounces between 0-25 mph then smooths out.
  20. Thanks Joe, for the heads up on Bobs Speedometer. What’s the ball park price for a repair, I understand it depends on extent of repairs.
