Hi i have a 1938 Plymouth tk PT57 i bought it in 1972, yes 1972 i have many spares and am looking for some items perhaps we should talk u can see it has a dodge grill I do believe it had damage at some point and the dodge grill was installed this truck is from the fan Francisco Bay Area Oakland
  3. My understanding is the 201,218, 230 C.i. are all 23 1/4" long head. The 237, 251ci May have these ci off a little are the longer 25” heads also the Chrysler and Desoto and possibly the larger dodge 1,2,5 ton trucks I believe had the longer head ( larger block) even in the 1930’s , but also the latter 1940’s chry and De So had the “ spitfire engine that is longer. My 38 plym tk can not fit the longer block so I’m trying to identify this block to falicatate a possible trade for a 23 incher casting number behind starter 666029 the sierial number isn’t trustworthy for proper identification as it looks modified Bruce
  4. I bought an engine from a 1938 dodge 1/2 ton truck and it’s turns out to be 25” long with a casting number of 666029 it must have been changed at some point and the seller ( to me) didn’t know it had been changed. Just FYI I bought it site- unseen anyone know how to identify this block?
  5. Yes I do have the amp gauge with the fuse thus 3 terminals to connect to. Appears if too many electrical draws are connected to the fuse side the gauge pegs out .
  6. i have installed a new wiring harness all original and i can't find out which wires go to the positive and neg. terminals on the amp. gauge. dose anyone know which side of the gauge (+ or -) the BATT trem on the voltage reg goes to and which the negative battery hooks up to? thanks, bruce moose
  7. I have a 1938 Plymouth truck that i put a 4 speed crash box out of a 1948 ish dodge tk. I'm wondering if theres an upgrade to a synchromesh 4 speed that bolts to the truck bell. I'm new here in fact this is my first post and I'm still learning my way around the site. classic moose
