  1. Yeah Rightio, if I run into trouble I might give them boys a call! thanks mate!
  2. All 5 have the safety bead! Lucky because I’ve never fit tubes in a car tyre!
  3. Gday Andy! Hopefully I can find some more wheels to match what I’ve got! Ha ha
  4. Yeah all have the alignment pin holes, I accidentally posted this question twice. Photos in the other topic I posted. Found all this out once I got my new Firestone 670-15s
  5. Awesome! Thank you for that! gonna have to find another 3 to match the 2 I have of those!
  6. Hello to all from Australia, I managed to score some 15s for my 40 Plymouth coupe here locally off an imported 47 Plymouth coupe. I’ve had them blasted and painted only to realise that they don’t match. 3 are one style and 2 are different. 3 have the ridges near the bolt holes and an oval shaped valve hole. Along with a 3 1/2 back space. the other 2 are missing the ridges near the bolt hole, round valve hole and a 3 1/4 back space. All are 15x4 1/2 wheels. Can anybody identify what these wheels are off? Trying to work out how to attach photos

  8. I have a spare 3 speedfor parts so I will fix it and save it for another car
  9. Geez I’ve been pretty slack on here, didn’t end up rebuilding it. What it was, was the teeth on the input shaft where the selector slides onto for top gear was badly worn. Ended up fitting an a833 od. Best conversion!!!
  10. Yeah I reckon it could be done in the vehicle. Probably pull the temperature sensor out first and disconnect the heater if you have one
  11. I just sat the block on the ground, bolted the head and water pump on (only to seal the water jackets) the filled it. No electric charge or nothing. Flushed it twice in a week. It's fine if you get the water to molasses ratio right. 20:1 I think it is 20 parts water 1 molasses. Cleans the water jackets up good to! Just don't leave it in there for a month tho. That can cause trouble
  12. I left my freeze plugs in and bolted the head back on then filled the block with molasses. Sat it for a week then it pulled out with pliers
  13. Hi all, the 50s Plymouth overdrive I have in my 1940 plymouth coupe has been jumping out of top gear lately. I have changed the side plate, changed the detent balls and springs, modified the springs and adjusted the shift linkages but it is still jumping out of top gear. Along with the oil leaks I would like to pull the the whole lot down and rebuild it but do not know where to get a rebuild kit for it. I'm in Australia and have had no luck yet. Does anyone know where I can get one? Thanks
  14. Everingham engines in lismore balanced the rotating assembly and waggots ground the cam. They had to cut between the cam lobes for more base circle! She's a lumpy grind for a flatty! Yeah I'll take you for a spin in it Andy I tried to buy andys engine but someone beat me to it ha ha
