    No I  ask by 1950 Plymouth I have th distributor out now and now when I rotate the shaft using an ohm meter I don’t get continuity so  I think it’s in the cap

      Post your distributor number and the part numbers for the cap and rotor that you got on the regular forum.  Someone can check them against each other.
