  1. 4 inches at the front and rear and then cut the windshield opening and dropped it another inch and a half to match the door window openings.
  2. well, after a long hiatus working on my 64 Aladdin trailer restoration, I am finally back working on the truck again. I took the right door and finish welded the window frame where I did the chop, found a bunch of rot at the bottom front, cut that out and found the hinge brace was almost completely rusted off of the bottom which made the lower hinge mount move around. I had to make a new one that connected everything back together again and then was able to make a new piece for the rusted exterior panel. I used the curved side from a spare cab back I had for the replacement lower panel. it worked great. Here are a couple of pics of the progress on the door. I can't tell you how good it feels to be back at it again.
  3. Back when I just started on my truck, I bought a second set of doors that had the passenger side mirror brkt on it. I had no idea what it was worth........ until I put it on that auction site....... cripes!!!!!!!!!
  4. Thought I would share the final finishing phase of the trailer I took down to the Clements BBQ. Now to take her out and enjoy some camping. Then back to work on the truck......
  5. Merle, I have a guest room with your name on it and if you stop by, I promise to make some of my infamous bbq'd babyback ribs.
  6. If Merle "mans up" and does it, my daughter and her husband live outside of Des Moines and I am sure would love to put him up for the night and feed him.
  7. keep your chin up Tom. I will betcha its minor.
  8. Keven, Graeagle and all the surrounding campgrounds were closed. We had a loooooooong drive to find an open RV park that didn't look like they played "Deliverance" banjo music when you drove up....... We found an absolutely great RV park in Standish (we think), called the Days End RV Park. Outstandingly clean and well kept up.
  9. well, we SHOULD have gotten a trophy for the earliest start and getting home the latest..... HAHAHAHHAHAA. We are now in Burns, Oregon and plan on planting ourselves for a couple of days to get relief from the driving. The BBQ was one of the highlights of my life and I would not have missed it for the world. Tim is an amazing host and the trucks were spectacular, not to mention all the great people. Next year I will be back if at all possible. I met some lifelong friends. Merle and Keven, I was honored to get to know you both and Tim, you are amazing. Y'all need to mark your calendars for next April.
  10. Hmmmm, Keven hasn't shown. Still arriving tomorrow, with or without him
