  1. Thanks! wayfarer 19.5 are pretty common here, but they are usually 8-bolt "euro" pattern. And one set i measured were with too small diameter to fit those bigass brake drums.. But any info for 19.5 wheels that will fit on these dums is welcome.
  2. There is no new pics, but i ended up going with homemade hydraulic release bearing. Next week i'll finish that cylinder and after that i'll send some pics.. Is there any chance to find 22,5" wheels with this 6-lug pattern? New 9.00-20 costs 350euros/piece here (~400usd) and used ones are rare and really bad..
  3. Time for update! Adapterplate is finished, engine and bellhousing are fitted together, spline shaft of gearbox is modified to new pilot bearing, clutch disc (from Ford F350 4.8 v8) is fitted and adjusted to original Toyota flywheel and pressureplate.. One setback came up yesterday. Clutch fork that i have does not fit pressure bearing neither belhousing. It's simply too wide.. I think its impossible to find one in Finland so probably have to make one myself.. Not easy thing to do i think... What kind of transmission oil should i use? And same question for rear axle.. There is couple new pics. All project pictures are now in: https://goo.gl/photos/DomdJdDkCtYSgWiLA
  4. https://plus.google.com/photos/photo/115033821208097594045/6299452404402269586 https://plus.google.com/photos/photo/115033821208097594045/6299452158711309794 Almost perfect fit. Only have to cut 13mm of from the adater plate...
  5. Test fitting adapterplate to engine... Tomorrow i'll completely rape original belhousing to fit to adapter.
  6. Something has happened... Started working on adapterplate today. Maybe someday i'll be machining plane for other side of plate and outside shapes. Programs for machine are ready, but dont know when i have inspiration... There should be pictures. https://plus.google.com/115033821208097594045?hl=fi
  7. All flathead engines that i have are beyond repair for my skills and budget. So i planned and already bought 318 v8, but steering gear issues and local laws (and fuel prices) were against this.. I ended up going six cylinder turbodiesel. I know that this is unholy option, but i think it's better than ending up to scrapyard.. Friend of mine scrapped Land Cruiser HJ61 and i took engine out of it. Maybe this weekend i'll make adapterplate between original bellhousing and Toyota 12H-T engine...
  8. Any ideas for steering gear for v8 swap? Original is between frame rails and v8 wont fit. Frame swap is not possible but any ideas for steering box out of the frame?
  9. I didn't find dual exhaust setup or "OD" marking in tranny. Looks like lots of other parts is missing too... So not a great day for me. Maybe i'll do diesel swap and build flathead slowly afterwards...
  10. Thanks bob for very good info. Must go today check that if it's od tranny and look for those exhaust manifolds.
  11. I don´t know anything about flat six engines, but that dual carb intake looks great.don't really know if its from t357 or t344 block i have.. i also have one block that has 318 number but that is not original number....
  12. I'll start slowly fix this Fargo F-4-KA-170. It used to be firetruck in sugarfactory until 1981. After that i'm third owner. Original engine was destroyed in 1981 and now it came to me with three non-working engines. Plan is to get one engine running and make flatbed for it and drive. I'll ask some dumb questions after i get parts sorted. You can find more pics here https://goo.gl/photo...mdJdDkCtYSgWiLA -Teemu
  13. Hi! Don't really know if this is right place to put pics my 1953 Fargo but here we go. Just this week i bought former firetruck. Only 38000 km on odo. Probably will ask lots of stupid questions before i can get first smoke out of the engine. There is three flat six engines. hopefully can get on of them running. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-rYZ7mQrFn6Y/U8fFpei0NQI/AAAAAAAAAC0/bxB_MHDfkD8/w1510-h851-no/20140715_007.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-rJ0lvSrNgqA/U8fFjNrolvI/AAAAAAAAACc/1vDISx93R-8/w1510-h851-no/20140715_004.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-8gXE5_ybMVc/U8fFcOjAJCI/AAAAAAAAACE/hYXRuxtURo4/w1510-h851-no/20140715_003.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-vRSAUBlSIGg/U8fFee5Mg9I/AAAAAAAAACU/adaOOhWvoak/w1510-h851-no/20140715_001.jpg
