The man that put the slant 6 drive train front to rear in my 51 did it at 72 years old. Last year at 81 he painted a 49 ford. At 80 he restored a Studebaker speedster in 13 months. He's slowing down now and selling off a few of his classics and keeping 2.
I also wired up a LED light to tell me the fan is getting juice. I been having troubles with China made controllers. Got this Korean made one so far so good, just add a relay. https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/imperial-adjustable-thermostatic-fan-control-226203/6016936-P?searchTerm=engine+cooling+fan+controller
Now my slant 6 I have headers with full length duals. Stand on the gas , sounds like straight pipes, drive normal , sounds like glass pack. A good drone at 50mph, so I go 60. Don't know what kind of mufflers, there 3 - 31/2 feet long bullets that the last foot looks twisted.
It was built by a 74 year old guy that's been building cars for years , the Studebaker speedster in one of those pics he finished at 80 yr old. The slant isn't that fast, never drove a flathead. Builder said the slant had more power. I'd say the most fun is on their highway, loves 65 /75 mph , 70 is the sweet spot.
Interesting , looks like clip and all from the 74. No heat, don't like the long heater hose by pass. And don't like the front wheel looks. When the slant was put in mine , used a diplomat Doner car. Used whole drive train , no sub frame. Think there's pics in my signature. I think I get more compliments than if it had a v 8.
