  1. Wondering if this is a good place for parts and help. I have a 1979 D100 custom and need parts. If this is not the proper place please advise where the correct site might be. Thanks.
  2. Thanks to all who answered and especially Niel H. who sent me the part to make the engine purr. This issue is closed, Time to move on to the next issue, stand by.
  3. Holy crap, I was going over the carb and whilecontacting the linkage to the internal pump and the damn pin retainer took off flying and bounced off a plastic container then I THINK hit the ground. Can not find it so I'm going to take a long break from all this. Niel, your offer still hold? Let me know. Thanks Steve
  4. Thanks Greg and Niel both good ideas. Niel, I'm interested in your offer, can you contact me at nfesr09@yahoo.com or provide me your info to discuss? Greg, I will TRY this idea with the spark plug top tube nuts. I would have never thought of that. Thanks guys.
  5. I guess I will take looking, thanks. Dinner time
  6. I tried Mark D's idea and the one hole is to close to the float wall to fit a nut and Fastback50 is the easiest but I don't have 500+ dollars. Well, anybody want a buy a 1946 4 door??? Back to the drawing board. Thanks guys.
  7. Hey All, My one barrel carb on my 1946 flathead took a dive, two out of the 4 top screws will not tighten and gas was pouring out so now I am looking for a rebuilt carb. Any ideas?????

    1946 Deluxe

First let wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy new year. Now on to the topic. I have a 1946 P-15 Plymouth Deluxe and would like to replace the org. flathead 6 with a newer engine BUT I do not have the knowledge or skills to do new motor mounts, welding all that stuff, so if I can not find a newer and hopefully bigger engine that does not require anything other than engine exchange I will have to sell it. All constructive replies are welcomed and if you want a running 46 P-15 let me know nfesr09@yahoo.com

    Rims and Tires

Thanks all, I was thinking of having wire wheel hubcaps so what should I look for Ford or Mopar rims. If I have to buy new ones I can but what is the best place to look?

    Rims and Tires

LT245/75R16. I know the LT stands for light truck.
  11. I need some help with rims and tire sizing. The tires on my 46 Plymouth are to big and rub when turning to far. I need to find a rim size closer to the 600/16 stated in the manual. Is there a car or cars that have the right lug nut configuration and rim size that I might find at a pull a part, what size should I look for ?
  12. Thanks. I plan to check all the adjustments related to the clutch.
  13. If what you say is correct , then I should be in the ballpark. I'm not sure what is going on but when I start out in first I have to give it lots of gas and let the clutch out very slowly to get going. This doesn't happen in reverse, second or third. Any constructive ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  14. What do you do if you want to check your clutch overcenter spring setting without a special tool C-705.
