  1. Rodney, my heat riser moves quite easily by blipping the throttle. After a few times it gets to be kinda fun to watch. To much free time here.
  2. 48 P-15 Special DeLuxe 2-door sedan; painted black. I pretty sure from the factory.
  3. I ran out and took pictures of the workbenches in my garage. Three of them. I put the pictures in the computer. They are too big to send to the forum, and thats a good thing. When I looked at them on the screen, I couldn't see the work benches for all the "stuff", and I know they are there. It's too shameful to show.
  4. Thats a nice picture, you can see the paint in the front hood ornament. I can't decide, I think I like that center guard, but I wouldn't want to give up my license bracket.
  5. The rear window of that "coupe" is shaped like a Ford window not a Mopar. Looking at the shape of the deck lid makes me think its possible that whole rear half is Ford. The door window frame is shaped like a sedan door, not any kind of coupe.
  6. I'm sorry to hear of your heart attack, but very glad to hear you are on the mend. You must be tough like an old mopar. Check this forum twice a day and do what the Dr. says.
  7. I think its called glass setting tape and should be available at glass shops, but good old friction tape will do the job perfectly.
  8. Possibly those wanting parts should be restricted to posting a listing in the parts wanted column and not on the forum. I, too, can be a real azz when I want to.
  9. I forgot to mention, if you want real bluegrass, 24/7, go to www.bluegrasscountry.org.
  10. Alison Kraus? She's from Illinois. If you like her music, you'll love Rhonda Vincent and the Rage. Yeeehaaaa. Easy on the eyes, too. Just MHO.
  11. Izzat gonna work on 6 volts positive ground? If so, I guess I need one.
  12. Whatever you want to do first is the right thing to do. But since you asked, I would put the windshield gasket in first to seal up the car, then you can take your time with the upholstery because it won't get damaged from a leaky window. What the hey,,,,,, do the backlight too.
  13. http://www.usacarsforum.it/index.php?showtopic=3033 Here's a guy thats got a good idea, but,,,,,,,,,,, It seems to me you would have to use some mighty strong return springs to pull back all of those o-rings.
  14. I used front and read window rubber from Roberts along with vent window gaskets. All of them fit perfectly and are still soft after nearly ten years. I recall when I ordered them, the price was exactly 50% of Steele's price. I have always wondered if Roberts got their rubber from Steele. Keep in mind, this was a long time ago as prices go.
  15. I once owned a 55 Olds that had rust holes in the headlight brows that had been filled, ( not by me), with concrete, sanded and painted. I didn't even see it until I had owned for a while. It didn't look too bad, really. The worst I have done? Thats a toss up. I painted a 59 Chevy convertible baby blue after covering all the rust holes in the fenders and rockers with several layers of masking tape and painting over it. The guy that bought it didn't seem to care when I told him what I had done. The one that still bothers me is a first series 49 P-15 that served me very well for two years after I had paid $35 for it. One morning after finishing a week of midnight shifts, a friend and I decided to make a four door convertible. With hacksaws and chisels we removed the roof, all the window frames, and all the side glass by breaking them off. We were just stupid kids. Fortunately, the first time we tried to go around the block, a rear wheel cylinder blew, thus putting an end to our sillyness be fore we hurt somebody. I still think about that car whenever I need something for the one I have now. Especially that grill guard bar. Still looking.
  16. My son watched a program called "Viva Blackpool" or Blackpool Revisited on BBC America. He said he saw a red P-15 convertible with a black top tucked away in a museum on that show. He was curious if it was yours. Is it?
  17. Hudson heads can be recognized by their sideways mounted thermostat housings like the one in the picture posted.
