  2. I had a similar problem with my 48 P15 CC. H:)d to gut the interior and wash, then painted it with rustoleum. Seats had to be steam cleaned a totally re donen. Lots of work but well worth the ffort.

  5. Last year in High School and my first car, 48 ply CC. Paid 35 bucks for it cause the guy that owned it couldn't make it run. 20 bucks later, new head gasket plugs and alcohol I had my memorie maker!! Few years ago decided to give up corvettes and found a 48 Ply CC in a barn in upstate NY. My son and I went up, checked it out and gave it and a family of mice, a ride home. several years later, my riide is like new, offenhauser intake and fenton headers, sound and runs great!! My time machine I share with family and remember what it was like to be young again.
  6. You got it!! Best time to enjoy. BTW, anyone know where I can get a speedo with proper color drum?? 1948 Ply CC.
  7. Scarebird, I just finished installing your kit on my 48 P15 CC. Road side went on smoth, curbside did not. Had problems with caliper fitment, had to grind pad down, rotor hits bottom spindal bolts, both of them, lightly. I'll need to remove the rotor and take another look and see what I can do. Additionally, I need to adjust toe on the front end, expected, but not completed yet. I had received a heads up from you re the thickness of the pads and had NAPA repalce my pads with your recommended. All parts were as you recommended. I am concerned with the fit on the curb side but don't see how I can move rotor out w/o impacting the caliper, which had to have the outside pad ground down significantly, to fit. Any suggestions??
  8. 'Morning all!! Well guys I am on my third career. 20 years in the Army, 25 years in government service and now consulting. Have worked in Satellite Communications, Intelligence and Logistics. Still having fun as I work on my 48 Plymouth CC.
  9. Does anyone know where I can get a speedo rebuilt with the color drum??? My first car was a 48 P15 CC and it had that option. I know have one almost identical to it and would love to have the speedo with a color drum....
  10. I had a bad leak, pulled the pan down and found only the two piece. Sent the engin out for a rebuild, got back and it still leaks, not bad, but leaks. Anyway, only found the two piece seal. R/ John
