Actually the Chrysler and Desoto six 25" motor started in 1937. The Chrysler / Desoto six from 33 thru 36 was a
24 1/2" motor. Kind of an in between engine. Few parts from the 33-36 fit the 37 thru 55 engines. I've made it my
part time job to figure out these engines since I have a lot of them. All of the engines I have, have bearing inserts.
All bearings except the rear of the cam for some reason...

I hope these pictures can help. Its actually very simple. The points and
condenser get connected together, and go to the coil. The other wire ensures
the breaker plate is connected to ground. The breaker plate mounted on a bearing and often the bearing is not a good ground.

HI,
I need my Exhaust manifold welded. I'm thinking
about using these guys.."Crow Custom Cast Welding".

Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them?
I'm really looking for a good source to weld cast iron
but this looks to be a fairly rarely needed thing.
Anyone have a good source?
Eric
Never use a 6V volt coil with 12V system. I had done this by mistake
as a kid. The coil exploded. I could have been killed with the force.
Destroided the top of the engine.

I have a 1936 chyrsler 241.5.... I have several timing chains and gears.
They are all the same but one crank gear. This gear has the exact same
I.D. but the teeth are completely different. Much smaller teeth .
There is the LOGO CDPD on the gear. What year did they stop putting the
LOGO on parts? I think this may be the other chain setup... The way this
chain was designed is nuts anyway.... the teeth expand as it bends around the gears? Are there any parts dealer on this form who would like to make some money?
