  1. Nick take it one step at a time and you will get it done. I've been working on mine for 2.5 years but it's getting close now. It was really rusty. http://p15-d24.com/topic/35504-started-the-teardown-and-now-the-build-up/ I've never delved this deep into one before. Just takes patience and research. If you don't know the answer ask someone. Lots of knowledge here.

  3. Maybe mine's been relocatedd but this is where it was when I got it.
  4. Tighten the bolt and see if it quits. Mine has no gasket it's just the tube shoved into the block.
  5. BB39 don't take this wrong but any mechanic that could not follow the hose to each end and know what it was for is a mechanic that wouldn't be working on my cars. lol
  6. A friend found it in a "U pull it" but didn't look closely at it. It's 200 miles from me.
  7. I pulled the head off of mine. Made thing so much easier. I only had to soak 3 days. You do know that the sparkplug holes are over the valves not the pistons right?
  8. some of the valves will always be open. How long have you been soaking?

  11. all glass is the same as same year chevy. Wife has been a fan of Pontiac since we were married and she took her first ride in my 67 GTO. Foot down, head slammed back and try to hold on.

  15. i used new Moog springs for one of the soccer mom vans. I don't have all the front sheet metal on yet so don't know what the height will end up.
  16. I bought a complete electric set out of a 47 chrysler. Going to switch the vacuum out and the electric in. My first vehicle was a 49 5 window Chevy truck. I hated the vacuum wipers.

  19. I just upload them from my computer. in the reply box bottom right is an option more reply options. click it. then look at the bottom left. says select upload file. easy
  20. the carbs are powder coated the pump is painted the same paint as the engine. I always thought that the carbs and fuel pump were pot metal.
  21. Nope. It's shrink tube. Lines will look the same color for years. Did the same on the red brake lines. The new copper nickel lines were almost black.
  22. almost done with the gas line to the carbs.
