  1. 15/16 is too small and a 1" is a bit sloppy on my 47 dodge switch.
  2. lots of places sell them. Some are a better fit than others. I went a different route. I found a coupe in a scrap yard and had them cut from the middle of the rear wheel well to the firewall, 18" high and 18" of floor. Both sides. They fit perfectly. Had a couple of small rust spots that were easy to fix. Total cost was $150. I'd check yards in the southwest for rust free parts. Welcome to the forum by the way. Here's my thread if you want to check the photos.

  4. Left rear fender mounted tonight. The dark green welting goes nicely IMO.
  5. The panel is nice. the truck needs so much help I'm surprised it's not on life support.
  6. Tim I know nothing of the trucks but if I were you I'd post this in the truck section of this forum. Good luck.
  7. You're not kicking him also? lol I lived in Scotland for 3 years and England for 6. I'm pretty sure it will tough. What about when you imported it any paperwork?
  8. Did you register it in your name when you received it? If not, you will have to throw yourself on the mercy of some official clerk at the registration office and see if they can help you somehow.
  9. Sorry but I doubt very much if you will be able to trace the registration. Can you contact the previous owner? If you're lucky they might still have something or know who it was registered to. Good luck.
  10. behind the waterpump on the same side as the valves. If it's the same as later models.
  11. Need someone that knows how to use a dwell meter on our engines to enlighten me. I have never used one. Thanks.
  12. purple shelves were in the place when I bought it.
  13. Finished wet sanding the clear coat and 3 seperate grits of polishing. fenders, hood and a few small parts left to do.
  14. bringing this back up. Synced the carbs with the stock jets in them. Runs okay but not great. popping, cylinders 1,2 and 3 are running rich 4, 5 and 6 are running fine. Won't go past 140 degrees no matter how long I run it. I have put new coil, condenser, points and plugs. I'm thinking it's either the jets are too large or the vacuum advance is bad. Any and all help appreciated.
  15. My car didn't have one of those brackets Shel so I mae one.
  16. Thanks guys. I now need to find that extra long spring for the back of the ecable.
  17. Can anyone tell me what this bracket is for? It's on a 47 dodge fluid drive.
  18. Trying to get my hand brake band hooked back up on my 47 Dodge. Parts manual and shop manual aren't clear enough to show me where/how everything hooks up. Did a search but couldn't find any photos. If anyone could post some photos I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
  19. In my expierence stop leak = new radiator or heater core down the road. Just my 2 cents
  20. your car. Do what makes you happy. IMO you'd get more value building something than selling it as is.
