    Gone

That's it, I'm gone. Seen 3 or 4 more posts about putting gm stuff in Mopars. No need of it. Don't like it. Won't listen to it. Gone. Probably won't be missed. Don't care. Gone.

  3. Always open bleeders when pushing caliper pistons in. The old black fluid leaves the system and you have new clean fluid in your calipers after they are bled.
  4. OK, I'll give you the vacuum advance, I've used compressed air to siphon gas so I understand the principle of vacuum generators and the draft tube, my mistake. At part throttle there is ample vacuum to operate the wipers, but you said "once the throttle butterfly opens manifold vacuum drops to near zero", I don't think near zero would allow wipers to operate.
  5. I agree for the most part, but at wide open throttle I don't think there would be much vacuum at the vac. advance, could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time. If manifold vac. drops to near zero when throttle plate opens, how do the wipers work when cruising at 50 - 60 mph?
  6. To test a vacuum advance or any other dashpot, I find it easier to push in the business end and then put a thumb or finger over the vac. port. If it stays in it's good, if it comes out it's bad. Try it. As far as vac. advance helping you under hard acceleration, think about it. What do your vac. wipers do?
  7. If the math was done right the profit would be $200.00. Shipping for the distance between Bud and I would probably eat into that considerably. Good idea though.
  8. Yes, I've got an 85 with the same fenders. $50.00 each is a good deal, I was offered $300.00 for my pair and didn't take it.
  9. Needle bearings from an old u-joint will work.
  10. Like the two-tone, don't like the lowering.
  11. I fully agree, when I see his name at the top of a post, I know I'm gonna learn somthing. Good work Bill.
  12. Can't agree with that, I've had great luck with them. That is my opinion of most gm stuff though.
  13. Very good question, one I have asked many times, there is a guy on here that makes the adaptor for this.
  14. The 2 speed pushbutton powerflites were mated to the flatties, but I don't think the 3 speed tourqueflites were.
  15. What engine are you talking about? Don't know about big blocks, but small blocks didn't use a gasket, steel to steel, make sure both surface's are clean and flat, tighten real good in an x pattern, no problem.
