I have bought a new set of hood springs for my 1948 plymouth does anyone know how to rehook them back up. thank you

I have bought a 1948 plymouth from my neighbor,which as been setting for about 10 years. It was her late husbands. All she asked me to do is get it running so she can ride in it one more time.I need help!!!!!! the brakes are gone and rear seal leaking, does not idle smooth, and the electric system is a laugh.If anyone out there has a shop manual that can email it to me i would be greatful. Thank You all for this site.
