  4. Good luck with the panel, there are a few guys on the truck side who have them and might know exactly what to check out. Hope you get it cheap and can get it running for a reasonable price.

  11. Hey Michael, Any update? Did you find the problem that caused the starter to fail? Any more information about the parts guy, does he sell at local swap meets, epay or does he have a location and shop ? There is a local car event to you in Marina Del Rey ( among others ) on Sundays do you ever make it out there? Hope to hear some of your good new soon, Rod

  14. I'm sure with that type of project and the amount of time spent it was hard to let go and allow others to finish the restoration. Be proud of the work you have done, experience gained and skill elevated. Wipe down the " old" things to do list , Go full speed ahead on your own projects and start a new list, We all have them.
  15. Hey Mike, Yupp the next Long Beach Swap Meet is on Jan 11, 2015. I can make it, but not sure it is enough time to pass the word with it so close ( maybe Feb. or Mar. to get more guys). It's just down the 710 for me. Hope your parts come in early, the install is easy and the shade stays over you for the entire time. Should be a very nice,sunny few days here in So Cal. High 70's for next few Glad the snow here stays up on the mountains, a real nice view from Downtown LA .

I am in Torrance all the time ( Parents live there) and I am always looking for a few parts. Do you have his contact info ? Is this Gentleman's name Allen Mest ?   17. I had my 12VDC starter for my '50 B2B 218 rebuilt at a Superior Battery in South Gate / Huntington Park Area { Florence between Atlantic & Pacific Blvds } $ 55.00 out the door ( I think I got a deal ). Rod

  21. Congrats Bill, I'm sure the pay off for the long road you traveled to hear this engine roar was worth all the busted knuckles and band aids. Great Job! Now, When do we see the video of it installed in some set of wheels and moving under it's own power ? No reason to rest now that the " hard " part is done.
