    another good source for brakes is AAJ brakes, he has dual master cylinder kits as well. I install a 8 3/4 diff from a 67 B body car, slighty narrow so you can install wider rims. I did all this on a 41 plymouth so it maybe slightly different

    I was there yesterday picked up a 51 chrysler with the 251 full flow oil system, pulled it out today, took a few other parts of it, will drop the rest of it off at a scap yard on Monday, also purchased one of the 41 Plymouths will pick that up later

    I use Autolite 425, if I remember correctly the threads in the head are 1/2" and the 303 only has 3/8" of thread.

    I have had no luck at local tire shops, I did see the ones on Coker Tires website not cheap, I will look into the e60's Dodge, Ford, & IH trucks. Does anyone know of a conversion hubs to the later 8 bolt t rims

    I have recently purchased a 1954 Fargo dual wheel 1 ton with 17" wheels with 7.50-17 tires, I have found this to be a hard tire to replace. does anyone know of any newer tubeless 16" rims that would fit the 6 hole bolt pattern, or of any additional tires other than the ones that Coker tires have. thanks

    head and cam is available through edgy speed shop edmunds intake I got off of ebay and headers were through www.exhaustedbyphillips.com, carbs I got from Langdon stovebolt.

    My Edgy head has 1/2" threads, if I remember correctly I installed Autolite 325 they have 1/2"

    I have a Edgy head, ARP Studs, FelPro gasket, and torgued to 65 ft lbs on my 265 Long block, no problems after 1500 miles

    Good chance I will be in Brandon, Manitoba next year for SuperRun. The head studs are ARP with 12 point nuts

    my guess is about 175 hp, it deffienatly has a lot more power than before. I do not have a tach on it so I do not know what RPM it is running at. The crank was lined bored and the rotating assembly balanced, I would think it would handle more RPM.

    runs good, just a little lean with wide open throttle, I used my A/F meter it is a 13.5:1. I have some larger jets coming from Pierce Manifolds

    here are a couple of pics with the Phillips Exhaust headers installed on my 265. They fit well, had to use a electric fuel pump, as the stock pump would fit, but would have issues with boiling the fuel.

    yes, Canadian Desoto's had 265 in them, when I bought the car I did expect it to be a 251, but as I did some research I found that the all 53 and 54 Desoto's had 265 in them, Mine has the origanol motor as well, I had bought the car from same family that had bought it new, they indicated the motor has not been changed, the stamping on the block is S-20 the same model as the car. I have also just recently purchased a 53 Desoto (parts Car) it also still has the 265 full flow oil system block as well

    this is phillips exhaust http://www.exhaustedbyphillips.com/ wide band 02 sensors screw into the headers, they plug into a handheld display that you have with you in the car, then you tune from there, idle, cruising, full throtle

    Here is a pic of the phillips long block headers after I got them ceramic coated, I should be installing these on Sunday on my 54 Desoto 265 flathead, I will post some pics after the install
