  1. Why are the clocks so hard to find, I know parts are getting harder to find everyday but I 've noticed when you do see one they are expensive. I bought a parts car that happened to have one, my coupe came with the block off plate.
  2. I got hooked on sonics smoothies last summer, pretty good for the price.I'll agree with David on the bugers, those mom and pop places are hard to beat.
  3. Sorry if I told you wrong, I bought a club coupe project last year and own a business coupe I thought when I looked there was a difference in the glass shape or somthing. Thanks for catchin that Robin, you got me wonderin though. I'll have to go look at this again... My forgeter's gettin' better.
  4. Wow man you're really dealin today.... is that a rat rod that used to be a hot rod! Those lights would really help that truck out.
  5. If the float was hangin up before it could shut the flow it would also flood. I had an old motorcycle that if the carb was run dry the float would stick most every time.
  6. If I buy the lights will ya throw in a truck to hang em on, come on man bargin with me.
  7. Maybe those have been painted.
  8. They we're bidding one off over on the Hamb don't know if it's still goin on or how much, just remember seein it.
  9. I like old cars and trucks very much, so much that I hate to see them rot down, crushed and discarded. I think a car thats too rough to restore and somebody takes it and makes somthing out of it that they have fun with and learn with is a good thing. My son has taken a car that I bought for parts and spent hours on end workin on it tryin' to fix it on the cheap with yard mowin money.I see him truely enjoyin himself havin good clean fun. He can't afford to restore it.It's rough as night in jail. When his papaw died he poured hisself into this rat rod.It kept him busy and was a way to help him through the pain. I think people tend to classify too much, like what a hot rod is or a street rod. What difference does any of it make, like it love it hate it it's all an opinion. In the 50's if you drove a flat black 30's coupe that was thrown together with what you had it was called FUN.... 2009 beleive it or not it's still FUN!
  10. I'm a big Green Bay fan also a Farve fan, my wife has rode me hard over him retiring so often. You still can't argue the fact he has had a tremndous career and set bunch of records. I wonder if he'll wind up on ESPN or somthin'.
  11. I've got a lincoln 135 mig It works great for autobody, farm and such. I can't see using a stick for body work. I can understand money being tight but this is one of those things you get what you pay for. I've used Miller and Hobart which are pretty much the same thing and they're right there with up there with Lincoln. You can get parts for these three I don't Know about all the cheapies but I've seen some thrown away because you couldn't.Personally I'd rather have a good standard hood than a cheap auto darkening hood, no batterys to worry about and if you drop it you can probably still use it.
  12. I saw it a while back, kinda blew me away. Like you said it was about Saab and Volvo I didn't expect to see Plymouths being assembled.
  13. I'm a big fan of the disposeable gloves, never thought I'd use em. I tried them at work on some really nasty jobs and they saved a lot of time plus my hands get really dry in the winter from all the washin.
  14. Yea Lou your'e right, I enjoy this forum I wouldn't want to cause anyone to leave or not to enjoy it.Forgive me, we've all got mopar in common.
  15. The way things are, with the the people that are in office now, it really wouldn't suprize me if I came home and saw this on tv and it wasn't a joke.

  17. I dig the ape hangers on the scooters:D
  18. You can have your generator converted from 6 to 12volt, thats what I'm doin. I agree that the gm alternator is good way to go but I want the look of the generator under the hood.
  19. I was thinkin the hudson flat 6 was 308 ci, so it could probably run a 4 barrel without losing intake velocity.
  20. Cool truck! As far as the heat goes, I've got a little heater/defroster that plugs in to a cigerette lighter I bought it at advance auto. Works good,it's hot soon as you turn it on you dont have to wait on the engine to warm up before you have heat. I really do like that truck I always liked the hudson cars too.
  21. What do ya call a pit bull with steel balls and no back legs.... sparky!
