  1. Unfortnately due to the omnipresent horde of spammers trying to flood the site with spam the registration process has a couple extra steps required to finish. Most get through the steps with no issues but here are a couple hints on how to navigate the process easier. First, make sure your ad/pop up blocker is disabled when you start registration. This is because we use a captcha puzzle as part of the process and it is a "pop up". So if you don't see the image below you will not be able to complete the registration. If you think you have done everything right and still have an issue email info@p15-d24.com with the steps you took and what happened. It doesn't help to just say you are having trouble, please include the steps you have done to help with my trouble shooting. It also doesn't help to email about how hard it is to register compared to other site, as it just a hard to clean up spammers after they get in. If the initial trouble shooting is still unsuccessful we have other ways to create an account. Again good communication is key so always include your (desired) registration email address and username. Same is true if you are having issues with a password rest, always include your registration email address and username. Again, I understand it can be frustrating if you run into an issue registering but having to deal daily with hundreds of spam messages flooding the site is way worse!
  2. Please post a wiring diagram if possible.
  3. It shouldn't make a difference but turn off any pop up/ad blockers until you finish placing the ad. Also hen it just loops around usually it means you missed a step or field and it should highlight the error. Also sometimes it's a browser thing, so using a different one may work better.
  4. for his resent forum donation! These go a long way to helping offset the expenses of running the site as the ads don't pay for everything. Thank you for the help!
  5. I was curious both this issue especially since on many new vehicles the battery packs are considered a "structural part"of the "frame". Does a hard rear end accident that damages the battery pack/container end up being a total loss? The Tesla fan boys keep harping about the giga press and how the rear half of the vehicle is basically one casting. If it gets damaged in an accident how is it repaired or another total loss? Lots of unanswered questions about repairs and if the the majority of accidents other than a fender bender end up being a total loss insurance rate will explode.
  6. I'm locking this thread as it ventures into the a gray area of political comment. I will leave it available so if you want to do your own research on the topic, or respond directly to government agency you have a starting point for contact.
  7. I've created a new "club" for the DPETCA material. Access is through the Browse -> Clubs header menu. You need to "join the club" for full access (it's free.) I need a moderator or two who would be willing to add the old DPETCA content. Maybe split it up between a couple members so it's not such a large job. Also if anyone has a copy of the DPETCA logo, please forward me a copy so I can add it to the club banner. It may take a couple tries to get all the management privs set so you patience is appreciated. This way all the DPETCA information is saved and organized in one central location.
  8. Downloads section has quite a bit of info on the chokes also.
  9. Going pretty good! This weekend was the first time since the op I was able to race in a regatta. ? Still doing Physical Therapy but it is ramping down probably ending in late August. Also restarting a bunch of home projects that needed to be wrapped up by winter. Thanks for asking!
  10. Bob, Thanks for the update. Keeping the hackers at bay is a full time job. Any original files you have would be very helpful and I'm happy to host here.
  11. Thank you Todd for the fast response. I should have caught the weird IP address in the registration. All permanently blocked now.
  12. First, never use the plastic filters in any under hood installation. They will melt and leak. Ask me how I know. Second I mounted my glass filter directly to the carb fuel line inlet. Easy to see and service, away from the exhaust manifold heat. The fuel line gives it extra support.
  13. ISP is doing a system upgrade. Expect downtime around 9 pm EST
  14. If you want to make it really easy also pull the hood and radiator. Just disconnect the clutch and shift linkages and make your guide bolts on the short side. If they are too ling the tranny case will run into a cross member before you can lower it.
  15. Well I'm on day 4 from my knee replacement surgery. Even with all the modern drugs it is still a pain filled experience. Last night was drug free which helps with appetite which so far has been on the light side. Doing the PT daily and my wife has been a champ in being the nurse. I may be a little slow in responding to requests but they will get done.
  16. Best to post these to the Downloads tab https://p15-d24.com/files/. so others can find them in the future.
  17. ? on the pdf version! As to viewing the pdf online I think is more likely the file will be downloaded for use in the shop while working. FYI, Arial and Helvetica are basically the same font. Now you just need to add it to the Downloads tab https://p15-d24.com/files/ so other members can easily find it in the future. Thank you taking the time and effort to do this!
  18. Two suggestions, change the font to something easier to read like Helvetica as it is a default on all computers, Mac and Windows. Also from your source program (Word ?) print to a pdf file format, not jpg. Scaling (i.e. zooming in) is much better in pdf.
  19. for your recent forum donation! These really help with the site expenses and keeps the site going! Thank You, GT .
  20. Most likely an optional rear window defogger.
  21. We have had some spammers take the time to do a full registration and get in. I often get comments that new registrations are hard to fill out but it does slow the spammers down. To slow them down more from now on I'm requiring both email confirmation and admin approval before gaining access. I should be able to catch more of them on the front side.of the process so that don't get access. And a big thank you to the mods for getting the spam posts cleaned up so fast!
  22. Use google search: site p15-d24.com what I'm looking for
