  1. So I have decided to fit the S10 suspension to the dodge frame. This should allow me to keep the updated suspension and brakes, and the body will fit without any fabrication to the frame. The next step will be to prep the frame and start fitting the suspension. Thanks for all the info, guys!
  2. Well I ended up with a s10 chassis, I couldn't pass up a rolling chassis for $125. I am still in the design and engineering phase, so we will see what happens. Thanks for everyone's input!
  3. Great! Thanks, JBNeal. I'm looking at a s10 chassis tomorrow, we will see what I decide.
  4. Hey guys, I am finally in the process of working on my 49 B1B. Has anyone done a s10 frame swap? Is there any frame that's better than the other? I look forward to everyone's input!
  5. Thanks for the info guys. I will try looking in Broken Arrow. Also, Vintage Power Wagon is selling rebuildable cores for 750.
  6. Awesome! Thanks everyone for the thoughts! I will think about some of these things and research them as well. I have been thinking about dropping in a 230 but I'm not entirely sure where to find one. I will keep everyone up to date on my progress, and I hope to get some pictures posted soon!
  7. Hey everyone, I am excited to be apart of this forum and look forward to hearing ideas for my truck. I have a 49 Dodge B-1-B that I have stripped down to the frame. I am wanting to keep it mostly stock, but might do some modifications to the brakes and suspension. Has anyone installed power brakes on their Pilot-House? What about suspension upgrades? I am also rebuilding the 218, does anyone know of a decent machine shop in the midwest that has experience with these motors?
