  1. I call this "hidden soul" Don't ask if you don't understand. By the way does anyone have extra factory screws that hold down the plug covers?
  2. Thanks guys for all the help.....Im not looking to match perfectly or win any awards. The blue firewall is the only part of the car that is stock and I would like to fog in a few spots and maybe more to help me achieve more of a "found" look and hopefully not a "fake" look. Im stuffing a 1954 331 Chrysler Hemi where is was never meant to be. I have original silver valve covers and black plug cover with factory stickers on the inside. Im trying to make it look like a barn find...without being fake about it. Although the new looking frame might be a give away. Good thing she has air ride so you can see it.
  3. I plan on keeping my firewall the stock factory color but would also like find the factory color in a rattle can so I can fog in a little where I do my modifications. Can I get the color in a rattle can?
  4. I took 3 inches out of my stock ones to keep the stock look under the hood. Lots of work but worth it.
  5. Thanks for the mesurements. Im just hoping that i dont have to cut the firewall.
  6. Hey guys this winters project is going to be rebuilding and stuffing a hemi in my 49 plymouth Here is the build thread on the HAMB http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=738468 The firewall on my car is the only thing that still looks and has orignal paint, so i really dont want to cut on it. Can it be done?? Thanks matt
  7. Heck no.. Its done cause it looks cool. Hell why does anyone buy a harley.... to be cool Its the truth.
  8. I am running firestone 2500 bags. Dont know much more than that. Had my minitrucking buddy install them for me. Thanks matt
  9. Hey guys i have changed the rear end in my 49 plymouth to a much higher gear out of a 68 mustang. It runs and drives great. Little high geared in town but not too bad on the high way. Now heres the dumb question. What thinking about installing a T5 or i have access to an OD out of a 53 plymouth. What ya think?? Are there any threads on here about converting to a T5?? Would the OD out of the 53 bolt right up with no issues??? Thanks matt
  10. My mini trucking dude that did my air ride went back and cut out part of my trunk, C-notched my frame, and installed a 2 link.
