  1. I looked everwhere in Texas and even NAPA said it was unavalible so I paid $120 at Kanter...
  2. The diaphram came loose from the rocker arm......reconnected it, put it back toghther and it pumped for about 15 seconds and stopped .....agian
  3. Just a new pump from Kanter and installed, it's not pumping fuel either?? Anyone had this problem? Is the fuel pump lobe on the camshaft pron to go out?
  4. Rebuilt the Carb and distributor, plugs, wires, 12 volt conversion and some Marvel mystery oil
  5. Got her fired up after she sat for over 30 years.... I love this car!!!
  6. Mine was a red 1969 Road Runner 440 4 speed!!
  7. I got one from Tanks... only thing I had to do was modify the straps it came with, my stock ones were in bad shape.
  8. I just want to fire her up prior to tearing her down....got the ignition wired for 12V with a 12v condenser, rebuilt carb and dist, getting fire and gas.. not 180 deg out but can only get her to sputter and thats advance as far as I can. i'm new to flatheads, any advice?
  9. 12 volt will be more practical… I wanted to go original...cost effective. New to cars this old but love it more than the others!
  10. It does have the cast numbers and i think it's 53 as and the head also has a cast number, but i think it ends in 37
  11. Going to rewire and see if she will fire today. The Distributor cap was around a 53
  12. I have a 1948 P15 but the engine is not stamped, instead it had a small metal plate riveted in the same spot? Talked to someone yesterday and he said it was probably a tractor or some other equipment. Anyone have any idea to figure what year it is?

  15. Will Champion RJ12C 592 work in the 48 flathead? Also I finally found a starter for the car but when I bench test it, it runs backwards and will not kick out the bendix? Even when I reverse polarity? 6V positive ground:confused:
