We will look at the exhaust as well. We really think we could hit 160 without any major mods. Add some weight and some skirts and possibly chop at some point. We really want to keep the look of the car though so a new nose etc. is probably not going to happen. If we decide we HAVE to go faster then we will build something more appropriate. It was a great experience though and one we will certainly do again. I love the ingenuity out there. The BYU electric streamliner which is powered by 880 dewalt drill batteries. They were shooting for 175 MPH this year. It was a ton of fun talking to them. Here is a link to their site if anyone likes this stuff....more than a little off topic though. HAAHAA. There were so many stories just like this....if you havent been yet you should.

I am not too far from Oroville and I am really considering a few bids. One is the 59' Nash metro. We are building a 1960 Rambler American Wagon for her now but she really loves the metros. I also really like the 1955 Packard Clipper. I know, I know, I just love the oddball stuff though. LOL
There is a 13% buyers fee also...FYI
Hey guys long time no talk! Still running my 48' but this post is a different project!
We just got back from World of Speed and had a great time. The last year or so we have been building my father in laws '50 to run on the salt and run we did. We managed to snag the 130 MPH club and next year we may try for the 150MPH club. We were just getting a little light in the rear end this time around. The car is powered by a 360 stroker (408 cubes) 904 tranny and a rear end from a Cordoba. Here is a video of our final run. I will try to post some pics of the car a little later. Enjoy

I wont be able attend this year (work stuff) but I will say it is one of the best if not the best show I have attended. The setting on the bluff overlooking the ocean, a free lunch, a great cruise, and some of the nicest folks around. I really wish I could attend this year. Our sedan took a plaque year before last...very nice myrtlewood. It is definitely worth the trip for those who are on the fence.

I have been watching this one for a bit. I really don't need another project at the moment. I really need to finish the wifes Rambler wagon before I get into another basket case.
With the interior being better AND the fact that you already know what has been done to your car, I would keep the one you have. Too little gained IMO.
Great looking car. Nice flake on the dash.
I am not usually a fan of digital gauges but you did a nice job to make them blend in with the original look. :cool:I am also taking notes on your placement of your ac vents. That will be a winter project this year.
Where was this show located? We hope to come over again this year for "Cruise the Coos" We had a blast year before last. Shore Acres has to be one of the best spots for a car show ever. If we can get my father in law to come over as well we could have 5 p-15s!! We also know 3 other guys over here. Maybe it is time for a NW p-15 club.
Thanks fellas.
The tires are 225/75/15 on the back and 205/70/15 on the front. I am using air shocks on the back and have a spring cut on the front. The air shocks help when we have a full load in the back seat.
The Carter rotary vane fuel pumps run all the time. They are also (at least for me) a royal pain in the you know what to make them quiet down. I ended up building a bracket to house the bracket with lots of rubber to take away some of the vibration. Its much better now and my glass filter has never been so full.
Looks great Fireball. I have to admit I was a little unsure when I saw the first couple of pics. I was like " What the heck!!" I was wrong...it looks great and is surely one of a kind. Well done!
