  1. I think all 4 are stepped. For the 39 we had all 4 wheel cylinders were unique because of the stepped thing. Not available through normal channels-had to order from Bernbaum etc
  2. Norm we better stop before we both have to have time out
  3. I thought I might get a comment on that one-decided to leave it for fun. Only 28-no issues in that area yet!
  4. Don socks are these cloth items worn with shoes. You should try them sometime
  5. i have a paper copy of that article but my scanner is on the fritz. hopefully someone else will post it otherwise I'll try to get it up
  6. Tim we dont have to have annual tags with ours. Once you register the YOM its yours til you sell.
  7. You take the plates to a lisence center and apply for them. They take a photo copy of the plate and mail it in. I think the fee was 10 bucks if you already had collector plates. Then you get a post card saying either they are good or try again with a new #. I may even have an extra plate(dont think I have a set though)
  8. Mine dont freeze in the gutter but right in front of it on the roof so I had to have some way to hold that ice melter stuff in place. Someone told me to use nylons but not having them around I raided my sock drawer.
  9. Norm I've had those ice issues too. Nothing like climbing an aluminum ladder to get at the roof when its snowy! Man those things get slippery. If the ice gets bad I take old socks etc and fill them with ice melt. Use a ziptie to close them. You put those on the high side of the icedam and then the water distributes the ice melt. It works really well. In the spring you just pick up the empty socks.
  10. Tim what are you using for a reference?
  11. p23s should have them too. There is one in the trunk of the parts car I'm sharing too. I have an original bulb from my p15 and its not a bullseye though.
  12. I've got YOM plates on my 46 pickup and the 48. The 46Truck plate was hard to find. Took me a couple years of swap meeting to get one. Now I have 2 The 48 came with a set of MN 1948 plates. If anyone needs some other year MN plates I have a bunch that an elderly neighbor gave me.
  13. If you don't add the tags to your pictures I wouldn't think it would matter. I have my album set to public anyways.
  14. I think you are right Bob. From 40-50s when they went to 12v all the cars used that same round bulb. I am thinking its a 6004 bulb but thats just off the top of my head!
  15. That's now we did it. Proper size socket and the 1/2in impact. Might be a cotter pin to remove too.
  16. Rodney are these sealed beam units or the old school bulb and reflector type? The sealed beam ones should be available for purchase at any local auto parts store. I think the last set I got had to be ordered but was in the next day.
  17. Yes I have done that. I put a car 3.9 in my 46 and switched it to a truck flange. The diff end of the flange was the same.
  18. They did the tank in my 48 plymouth. Been about 3 years now with no issues. I'll post a pic of my 46's gas tank which I think would be similar to your 52. Might give you idea at least until someone comes along with a proper pic for you. Ok you cant see it very well but there is a flange that runs along the middle where the 2 halves are attached. This bolts to the frame at the front and back. Your description sounds similar to what I have. Perhaps by 52 they had switched to tank straps.
  19. Norm mine is a 5hp 4stroke single stage honda. Its the biggest single stage blower made last year. I only used it on one deep snow we got right at the end of the season but I loved it then. I dont have much to do to need one of the 2 stage ones. They do have their uses though. You are right though for the majority of the snow falls the 1stage ones are better. As far as your sheer pins I bet that was a Sears blower.
  20. Norm mine is a 4stroke one so no oil in the gas to help keep it fresh. I think I left some in the tank but ran the carb dry.
  21. Norm I got that part. I was mainly asking for a good place to put the ad for it. Also maybe this new forum software has a cool way of doing an auction?
  22. My car looks the same but it used an allen instead of a screw.
  23. I just sent GTK a PM about how to go about an auction with funds raised going to the forum. I've got my old spot light and a 1941 plymouth owners manual that could both go on the block. I know we used to do the auctions on the old site and they went over well.
  24. Mine shows the same. And it shows I was right and am way overdue for a donation.
  25. I agree Pete. I will certainly donate if I take them. I am due either way to make a donation. If you need it I will donate a fan motor to your 50 as well
