  1. I need to replace the rear motor/tranny mounts, I read somewhere, don't remember where, that it's easier to access them from inside the car....any input. Thanks..JP

WOOOOOH!!!! that's awesome...that flatty pulls hard.
  3. Rusty Hope has a simple solution, bottom of this page..... http://www.rustyhope.com/intakesexhausts.html
  4. My 95 Dodge 12v gets about the same as the Ranger did 20-21 mixed driving, the best I got was a trip from San Diego to Las Vegas, cruise set on 70 with the AC on...24.78. My new truck 04 Cummins 2wd crewcab with 33" tires avg's about 18-19....other than the price of a compact why bother.

Moose...that's one bad macheen!! is that a reground cam? what's the spec on it?
  6. I had a 93 Ranger 2.3l 5spd, great little truck worked it hard for 4 years, I sold it for what I paid for it...very underpowered and forget about it when I had the A/C on, avg about 20-21mpg My brother had a 96 Tacoma 4 cyl 5speed, ran circles around the Ranger and got 25mpg...but the chassis on the Ranger was twice the size...go figure.
  7. I'm using Welderseries.com mounts for the sbc that's going in a 50 F1...got them here. http://www.ebay.com/itm/110771783655
  8. How about a flathead inspired shirt, you know dual carbs, headers, aluminum head....
  9. I'd love to get my hands on that 39' with the V8, what was the asking price on it?
  10. Yup, that's exactly what it started doing at first then all of them started popping out...after a couple of drives around the block I also started feeling/hearing a "CLUNK" when letting out the clutch in reverse, so..... I found your thread on the pork...subscribed. JP
  11. Looks perfect. the tires tuck in just right...I'd say leave that size tire in the back and run a smaller size up front. I am torn between keeping my flatty, which runs strong but the tranny is having problems, pops out of gear, needs clutch..etc...and doing a V8 swap...so I'll be keeping an eye on your tranny swap.
