  1. I have a 1949 P18 3 speed transmission. Can anyone tell me what other years this transmission would be suitable for. Are they the same 1940 to 1956?
  2. Have a 47 Dodge pick up with a foot actuated start pedal and want to change it to a push button start. I'm assuming that a 46-55 Plymouth/Dodge passenger starter will be a bolt on.
  3. Thanks all. The number I was seeking is MAW 4041 which apparently fits 46 to 55 Plymouth 6. After several false starts I finally found it on the net.
  4. Thanks Tim. Is that the number on the tag on the starter?
  5. Can anyone tell me the Autolite part number for a 46-48 Plymouth 6 volt starter? Thanks
  6. I agree with Frankie47. My engine is comparible to Forty6217 and I've been running a pair of B&B's for 4 years with no problems and 20 mpg on the highway in O.D.
  7. That is indeed an interesting vehicle. Sure looks like dual wheels on rear. Any idea what it says on the door?
  8. Have you checked the general condition of the engine: compression test etc., checked for vacuum leaks or dragging brakes or a slipping transmission? You may be trying to breath life into a dead horse. Not having owned a slanter for many years I don't remember them giving great gas mileage. They are a great little engine though. Good luck.
  9. Didn't some of the BIG Chryslers from the late 40's, early 50's use a six inch rim?
  10. That is one sweet ride Rick. I had a very nice 41 coupe back in the late 60's and still kick myself in the butt for selling it.
  11. That storm is supposed to hit Toronto tonight and tomorrow. If the forcast is accurate it will be the most snow we've had since 2008.
  12. What is the thing that appears to be mounted on the steering column?
  13. You won't have any trouble with a compression union on a steel line.
