  1. '39 is IFS, '38 is tube axle.....that may make a difference in travel.
  2. That sure is nice, post it on the "truck" forum so they can enjoy it too. Not many of them look at the "car" forum.
  3. This?: http://my.net-link.net/~dcline/limoclas.htm
  4. Not sure if you need 1 for a long or short block, but here is a NOS (not repop) for a long block (not cheap): http://www.ebay.com/itm/37-38-39-40-41-42-46-47-48-49-50-68-L6-Brass-Water-Distribution-TUBE-NOS-MoPar-/140768281185?hash=item20c6718261:m:mqfpOoerwmjXEZyx7Lqb9cQ&vxp=mtr I bought a brass 1 from the same seller a few years ago for my short block, not quite a pricey, though.
  5. Any pics of the power disc set-up (master, booster, etc.) on the '40 Plymouth?
  6. No, my west coast results were the same as yours.....you win.
  7. http://rustyhope.com/site/
  8. I did, with the Rusty Hope kit. My stock Plymouth rims are 16" though. Not sure about 15", but there were no disclaimers in the instructions saying 15" would not work.
  9. Some members may not go on this forum every hour, or everyday, but it seems e-mail is a part of our daily lives. Figured if he updates his PM notifications, he might get a PM sooner via e-mail.
  10. To receive E-mail notifications of PM's......click on your user name at the top right of the page, when the box appears, click on "My Settings", on the settings page, go to the column on the left & scroll down, click on "Notification Options", scroll down to "Private Messages" and check each box in the "E-mail" column. You should then receive an E-mail each time you receive a PM.
  11. I used the Rusty Hope brackets/parts list. Very happy with it for the last 4 years or so, and as mentioned, the customer service from Charlie was great. Here's a link to my thread on the conversion, with a couple other things thrown in. Only thing not in the thread-I changed the 1/4" lines I originally installed to 3/16" lines. http://p15-d24.com/topic/26625-new-front-disc-brakes-front-end-rebuild-steering-rebuild-for-the-38-plymouth/
  12. Here are some pins on ebay, similar part# to the one you listed, one may be a misprint. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1935-1936-1937-38-1939-1952-1954-CHRYSLER-DODGE-PLYMOUTH-DESOTO-DOOR-HANDLE-PINS-/321963388348?hash=item4af6836dbc:m:mOOVgwpQxLcTqIRRtzA3sqg&vxp=mtr I think this guy sells at the Long Beach HP swap meet at Vets Stadium.
  13. Have you tried here: http://airflowclub.com/Forum.aspx or here: http://forums.aaca.org/forum/42-chrysler-airflowairstream/. I would think if anyone knows, it would be a "group" dedicated to Airflows.
  14. Yes, regular ole' copper compression fittings and 5/8" soft copper tubing-which was not the easiest to bend into the tight radius I wanted, but still close enough. I have since changed intakes to a Nicson and 2 stock 1938 carbs, but ran regular heater hose. I'll see if I can get a pic of the copper tubing/fittings I removed.
  15. It's still taught in school, just not practiced on forums......along with spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  16. Keep the axle nut on....loosely, to avoid the drum from "flying" off AND protect the end of the axle threads, which I'm sure has been mentioned.
  17. Sorry to go off topic, but the Carter Weber Motorcraft 740 2 barrel from a 1983 Escort worked very well for me.. They were for the 1.6L motors (about half of my stock 3.3L or 201 c.i. motor), which I got from Langdon's Stovebolt. I was running 2 on my Sharp intake, but went with 2 stock 1938 B&B carbs and a Nicson intake for looks/nostalgic reasons. http://www.langdonsstovebolt.com/store/#!/Carter-Weber-Carburetor-With-choke-pigtails/p/1222026
  18. You can also send him a PM. At the bottom of the message box, next to "Send", is "Use Full Editor", click that and add attachments/pictures.
  19. The link for the conversion says "automatic trans only", they also have 1 for '35-'38 Ply/Dodge, which also says for auto trans only. Wondering if these are for cars with modern engine/auto trans or with auto trans conversion. If you need the Ammco 1750 brake tool, let me know, I have one and right now it's changing hands with a couple local guys, not sure if being used at the moment though.
  20. So, is your user name a hint at what the '40 is to become? They look great with right chop.
  21. That is a very nice original '46 you have. Don't know if I'd put the HEMI in it, but, what "I" would do is pull the HEMI for a future project and part out the rest to recoup some $$$....too many doors for me to bother with.
  22. Hopefully you have better luck with the Plymouth Doctor than most on here have.....search "Plymouth Doctor" for threads. I think I read in 1 or more threads that Kemp's (or something like that) supplies the parts for the PDr....might be mentioned.
  23. Is this the same subject from last month? http://p15-d24.com/topic/39912-central-motors-in-jefferson-iowa/
  24. I'm about 5-10 minutes south of you off the 605.
  25. Sounds good, but working a nooner or sooner that day, then getting home to the family.
